Beautiful town with upscale, trendy shops. Make sure to walk around and see the unique shops and friendly folks.

We tried getting into downtown Franklin on a Saturday for lunch, and man, was it crazy crowded! I guess for Franklin businesses that's a good thing, but for hungry guests, we turned around and left. There is a parking garage, but we went up and down a few times before finally nabbing a spot. Once we did, we saw lines out the door of several restaurants, with waits up to an hour. Again, I guess that speaks to popularity, but we were in from out of town, so no chance to come back. Seemed like a nice old fashioned downtown area, with plenty of shops - and crazy busy restaurants. Maybe if we're in the area again we'll try again. We did visit some antique stores in a district not far from downtown, but while the shopping was fun, there weren't a lot of restaurants in that area. Go, but be prepared to wait at peak times!

Quaint town with nice food choices. Cute shops and friendly locals make this town fun! Full of history with several local tours available.

Downtown Franklin is an American treasure. Great shops, wonderful resturants, antique stores, wonderful parades and street festivals, wine bar, toy store, old churches, civil war history. Just wonderful

This year's "Dickens of a Christmas" in downtown Franklin met and surpassed expectations again, with its festively "olde" atmosphere, homespun goods and art treasure, enlightening entertainment, and offerings of tasty treats--including sugar plums, of course! Weather was chilly yet comfortable, locals and visitors (and decorated dogs too) turned out in festive attire to stroll the streets, snap photos among costumed characters, pause to chat with neighbors and friends, soak up the festivities around them, and of course enjoy the musicians along the way. This event held mid-December is truly one to behold--a timeless tradition; a transformation of our up and coming yet quaint and historic town. Truly sets the mood for the holidays.

this small strip of land downtown is amazing and enjoyable. History and modernity are intertwined there. Beautiful during spring and summer times with festivals and fairs.

I've been living here for 3.5 years and love it. The combination of historic homes, civil war sites, restaurants, shops, and parks make it the perfect place to enjoy just about anything!

If you're in the Nashville area, downtown Franklin is a must see. This is one of the most charming main streets in America. This is what hundreds of small town downtowns used to be like, but aren't anymore. My wife and I like Franklin so much that we are seriously considering retiring here. If you're tired of endless shopping malls, and the hustle and bustle of everyday life, then you must come to downtown Franklin USA!

Lots of boutiques, restaurants, bars with an upscale feel. Only spent half a day, but wanted to stay longer. Will visit again when in the area. Free parking garage and had no problems finding restrooms (a common problem in popular tourist areas like this.) Shops we visited were very unique.

I had a great time visiting Downtown Franklin with my motor coach group - it was the annual Tennessee Motor Coach Convention right here in Franklin. We all let our motor coach with purses, we all loaded back up with lots of bags! We were given a list of the stores that were offering discounts and I know it worked. I had so much fun I even went back on my own time when I had a chance and bought more items. Lots of great shops, lunch was awesome at Gray's and the whole group of us had a great time. Thank you Downtown Franklin!

I found this town very relaxing with a lot of history. Very beautiful area to drive around. Shops were fun & unique & the eating establishments were great. I enjoyed parking & then walking up & down the streets. Was a great place to unwind, look around & do some shopping! While I was in the area, I went here several times. I highly recommend it!!

Small town atmosphere just outside the big city. Franklin is a great town to spend a day in just browsing the shops and they have some great restaurants.

Such a sweet little town to visit. You'll not lack for great local shops to visit, nor awesome food to choose from the many restaurants in the area. It lends itself well to an up and coming generation with free wi-fi in most stores, while stirring interest in all age groups with Franklin's unique history present just about anywhere you look.

this is a great place to spend a day touring the shops, restaurants and history. We ran out of time to explore all the things we wanted to explore so we will just have to go back and spend more time in this terrific little town!

We love Franklin - it's the best town in the greater Nashville area. Lovely to walk around downtown - lots of nice shops with local goods, a few good restaurants and cafes. Several historic sights (Civil War) as well. Too bad the main street is quite busy, including semis that drive through there.
