First of all....GET A RESERVATION! We walked past a line of people that I am sure never got in because they did not have reservations. During the shows I didn't actually see anyone leave. So once again....GET A RESERVATION! Getting a reservation is pretty easy. Just follow the directions on their website for when you want to go and you are in.They had a very nice drink selection. We both had some craft beers that we enjoyed. The food was good too. I expected some gimmicky bar food, but it was much more than that. Really good food options. If you have never seen that Nashville show, like me, and you just enjoy real people playing music so close they bump your table....this place is a must. I thoroughly enjoy singer/ songwriter shows and the "in the round" show is just amazing. This place is a must for music lovers.

I've played this venue on multiple occasions and I've attended several writers rounds. This venue represents the essence of what Nashville is truly about...The Song. Many great country artists and songwriters honed their craft here. From Garth Brooks to Steven Tyler, to the beginning songwriter, this venue is home to the history of some of the best songs in the world. There is no talking allowed. They want no distractions so everyone can soak in the rich creative energy emanating from the stage. Plan an evening to be entertained and amazed!

We had a blast! We originally tried to get into the Saturday show but it sold out quickly so we decided to get there early for the free Sunday show (free means no cover and a $7 minimum purchase from the bar/restaurant - worth it!). It was very cold and we were among the first half dozen people there, arriving at about 3pm for the 5pm door , but it was cold which was why the small line at first. As you can see by my photos, the line does get long.We lucked out, at leas I think so, and the artist performing was Sue Potenza who has a Janice Joplin like sound with a rich, full voice. The luck comes in the form of her being the first act shown this year on The Voice and she received a 4 chair turnaround! That episode aired the very next night!!! The show was fantastic. The food was average, drinks reasonably priced for Nashville, service was good.If you're a fan of live music or the TV show Nashville, this is a must stop. Get there early for the free shows and, if you can't get tickets to the other shows get there early as there are usually a dozen or so seats available in the "pews" or regular seating should somebody not show on time.

We went there not really knowing much about it. It was a great time. The music was awesome. If you love country music or if you just love music you must visit this place while in nashville

We never expected to get into the Bluebird without a reservation; thank goodness it was freezing outside! Arriving at 5:15, we still got in! The music on this song writer's night was really great and we saw Kristen Merlin from The Voice perform two songs by chance, which was FANTASTIC! Great wine, tasty snacks and good friends made this a perfect Nashville night!

Being a big country music fan I was full of anticipation going to the Bluebird, and it didn't disappoint! Much smaller and more intimate than I expected but that adds to the charm. Great food, great beer and a great live music experience. A must see for music fans when in Nashville! I recommend leaving in plenty of time as the queue starts building early and seating is Spaces are very limited, less than 90 per gig. Absolutely brilliant!

Up close and personal with the stars! What an intimate venue. It's a jam session with about 90 of your closest friends. Great place for great music!

First, it is very tiny...not at all like we see on the show "Nashville". Very cramped, and one in our party was behind a pole. Seating chart fairly misleading. We had to wait outside in the cold because it is so small, only two people allowed in at a time to pay! The whole place is kind of dumpy with icicle christmas lights as decoration on the stage The performer was okay, but very low energy. We were bored. I'm sure the experience changes based on how much one enjoys the performer. Maybe our expectation were high based on the hype and other excellent reviews. Not as important, but nachos were awful.

My husband and I finished our couples vacation at the Bluebird. We were impressed with the talented songwriters there. It is an intimate, up close view of the entertainment. So amazing !! Will be going back soon and taking our 2 teens with us next time.

We visited here one evening whilst in Nashville we had to sit and wait for 2 hours to get in though! You cannot reserve seats. The music was great, cosy unique atmosphere, a great place for songwriters, we ate here too whilst watching the performance food was ok nothing special but it's all about the music, great venue and worth a visit!

A MUST do in Nashville. I am not a country music fan but that does not matter here, when someone has talent, the music has no boundaries. This place is small, intimate and the talent that is show cased is never short of exceptional!! If you have ANY interest in music, you MUST go. Anytime I come to Nashville now, the Bluebird cafe is a MUST. Now, getting tickets is another story but I would not hesitate standing in line for 3 hours for a chance to see another show! And I typically don't do lines! GO, you WILL NOT be disappointed!!

This is our second year in a row to Nashville and it is the Bluebird Cafe that brings us back. Its a venue I have never experienced before. So real, so intimate, so much talent, so raw. We went twice this year and am sorry we didnt book it for every night of our stay. I recommend this place above any other Nashville if you want to hear from those who can accept some responsibility for creating and prolonging the careers of many well known artists. We are not huge country music fans but we are great fans of real talent and Nashville, and the Bluebird in particular, has it every night. Trust me, don't miss it.

The room is small and intimate. The staff is courteous and friendly. The food is definitely not yuppy. Reservations can only be made one week in advance. I was there on a Tuesday night and there was a line to get in, walk ups get seated at the bar or in pew seats. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual. Oh yeah, the music is great.

Our family went on Open-Mic Monday night. Waited in freezing cold weather from 4:30 - 5:45 and had so much fun talking with other singers and songwriters. After entering, things were very cozy. Drinks and appetizers were ordered and delivered quickly as the order of performers were announced... then straight into the performances. After 28 performers who showed up there was time for 10 more which were randomly pulled from a hat to continue the fun until 9 pm. My daughter was able to perform and it was an experience she will never forget!

We went on open mike night and I was so happy to be there. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable for a lengthy sit. The menu is small, so you aren't there for the food, more like appetizers. Many of the musicians and patrons had to stand out in the rain for a couple of hours, lined up in the parking lot to wait to get into the club. Being disabled myself, the security team was so sweet and let my husband and I wait in the car, right by the door, Parking is very limited. The place has a small capacity, so first come first served. I think with the area known for this venue, I'd move the cafe to an independent building, with a dinner menu and revenue would surely increase. Though, maybe it's the acoustics and ambiance of the place that makes it so special. A lot of the musicians were very talented, a few should have stayed home and not taken up a desired slot. Some got to play twice.
