shiloh guest ranch

Spring flooding prohibited us from actually riding on the ranch property, but my husband, son, and I rode three gentle horses (well, two horses and a mule for our son) on the old stagecoach road from Denver up into the mountains. Ranch hands were knowledgeable and very experienced. My husband and I are NOT frequent riders--and our son had never ridden. The area was beautiful and we actually had prarie dogs running among us as we crossed the landscape to get to the dirt road. The ranch is located in a valley near the Roosevelt National Forest and there were great views of the snow-capped mountains.
