I saw the remark about pit bulls and chains and had to ask myself who would make a remark like that without explanation? It's nutz! It's almost a five-mile walk that allows you to see most of the park, but the fact is this is prairie, so some of the walk is dry and without much vegetation. Walking around the lakes at Hasty Campground, however is excellent! And you can walk for many miles along the shore of the reservoir.
