We had a large party of 13- including 3 ride along riders and 5 solo riders age 8-11 and this place was great for our family. The ride was one hour and was easy for first time riders. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We were very excited to find this ranch and to bring our three horses for six nights of camping. The facilities were clean enough and the pike national Forest was easily accessible for great riding. However almost none of the ranch activities were offered. We booked here because they advertised something for everyone. A shooting range for the spouse, arena nights for the kids to barrel race or play games, cattle drives, and other false promises. Almost every activity on the schedule was cancelled. When we finally chased down the owner Randy he managed to open the range for one hour. Each time we asked about one of the scheduled activities he told us it was cancelled due to a new corporate group coming in. After the fifth night we left out of Boredom and found other trails to ride the next day. The m l lazy c ranch is not a good place to bring the family as they are more interested in large group and corporate business. They do not accommodate nor value the family vacation business and do not live up to their web site at all.

I hadn't been back in a couple of years. M Lazy C did not disappoint. Got my favorite site. Only one other couple was camping with their horses. The pens were larger--thank heavens. My 16.3 horse would have been miserable in a smaller one. The roads and sites were freshly dragged. Sewer connections were added to a few sites. Reception and checkout were friendly and efficient. We could have had breakfast and dinner, had we wanted to--did that a couple of years ago. Of course, M Lazy C has lots of other activities besides horses that you might want to check out on their website. We just like to camp and ride.

We happened upon the M Lazy C Ranch by accident. My husband saw a sign for public horseback riding along US-24 on our way back to our rental house and decided to stop. He signed us all up for a 2-hour ride on our last full day in Colorado! What a fantastic experience! Our guide was Erin and she was very friendly and helpful! We initially added a tip for her before the ride, but she did such a fantastic job that my husband added another $20 after the ride.My older son (10 years old) got to ride Ruben (a mule) and that was a novel experience. He was unsure how he felt about it until I explained to him that he would have the most surefooted mount of us all. I rode Logan, my husband and daughter rode Squirt (a draft horse), and my younger son (7 years old) rode Sunny. Sunny was the only hiccup in the ride as he is 24 years old and didn't want to be bothered to ride, he just wanted to eat grass. Eventually our guide, Erin, had to grab his lead rope and just pull him along for the ride... LOLLong story short, this was an exceptional way to end our vacation and I highly recommend!!!

My family of over 20 people went to the chuckwagon dinner. It was very nice. They let the kids ride on the horses at no charge. We went on a hay ride. There was lots of activities for kids- my 6 and 8 year old loved it! There was a live cowboy "band" and lots of interaction with the crowd. We plan on going back every year. And by the way- the food was GREAT!
