Go and see it, we owe it to Danny and his family. It is a great reminder of who we need to thank for our freedoms in this country. God Bless the USA.

I had no idea how close to my home this memorial is. I drive by it everyday. Now that I've seen Lone Survivor, it has a special meaning.

Stopped by on Memorial Day weekend to show my daughter what an American hero looks like. Please take 10 minutes to get off Santa Fe Drive and see this inspiring memorial and reflect on what our service members sacrifice for US. You will be glad you did.

Statue is quite memorable. I like that it is in his neighborhood where he used to play as a child. Ironically, some people complained because of his uniform. Seriously???? This IS the military, after all!

Very simple but inspiring memorial. Many people leave patriotic items like flags or unit patches at the memorial

This little park is a touching remembrance of a fellow warrior who gave all in defense of his country and his brothers. I make it a point to ride the hog over a few times a year to just hang out and prayer for those serving in harm's way.

Anyone in Littleton can tell you the story of this hero that will not be forgotten. It is worth the time to pay tribute to this American hero.

Danny Dietz was part of the Seal team killed in Afghanistan. It is a long and sad story of a missoin gone very bad, extremely bad. Please read the book Lone Survivor

A well executed bronze monument to a brave American, a Navy Seal. Most who visit will never know that during the commissioning of the statue, a few loons protested the location of it, near a school - Mr Dietz' school, by the way. The statue sits in his suburban neighborhood. A small, moving tribute to a young man who left his home to do big things.

I work with Veterans, and am the son of a peacetime Paratrooper. I read the book, "Lone Survivor" which tells the story of Danny Dietz, Matt Axelson, CDR Mike Murphy and Marcus Luttrell's fight with 140-150 Taliban terrorists. This is a moving memorial to Danny Dietz, the first SEAL to die in this fight. (4 against 140) The memorial is in the bedroom community of Littleton (Denver) and took me 15 minutes from the Denver airport. We always go to Estes Park for our summer vacation but wanted to start it by paying our respects to a remarkable young man.
