It was impressive! We had: 1. Access to rent new and high performance snowmobiles 2. Amazing views and trails 3. Chance for off trail riding on soft snow 4. Direction on safe snowmobile usage and map/travel route orientation. 5. Great pricing especially compared to an all day lift ticket, equipment rental, and a $25 per person lunch at a ski area etc... THIS IS A MUST EXPERIENCE YOU WILL REALLY ENJOY. Good for all ages and ability levels.Thank you CBR!
Unreal trip. From start to finish we had the time of our lives. The best trip I have had in the past years. They are super friendly and professional and truly are concerned about doing their all for you. The places you get to rid are a true slice of heaven. If you go to Colorado you must go rent from these guys. I promise it will be one for the record books of your search for fun.
Our first snowmobile trip. An unguided tour. Plenty of wide open beautiful trails with great scenery. Great staff! A must do! Best days to go are Saturday and Monday, if you want it to be super smooth. We went on a Sunday and had tons of fun though! Go downstairs afterwards for a great pizza and local beer at mangos!
My friend and I used CBR yesterday to ride through Vail Pass Recreation Area, what an awesome experience! These guys set us up with amazing sleds and a map of the best area to ride through in the entire state. We rode about 30 miles and parked our machines and took pictures of this virgin backcountry. I cannot say enough great about CBR, the staff and owner, or the area they are located near! Use this company and you cannot be disappointed! The skis were top of the line, like new Polaris and were incredible! Thank you Colorado Backcountry Rentals!
This was my first time on a snowmobile, the owners were very friendly and knowledgeable! They walked me through how the sleds work, and gave us great directions on where the scenic spots were. The area where the trails are is beautiful, with lots of great views! The sleds were brand we and ran great! Best day of my "ski" trip! I'll def be back!
We highly recommend Colorado Backcountry Rentals. The owner Chuck goes over backwards in wanting you to have a wonderful time while snowmobiling. He is a very positive person and will do what he can to make sure your visit is positive and memorable.Joan and Steve
Colorado Backcountry Rentals is a must for all who wish to see the magnificent Rockies as they should be seen. This company has excellent equipment, safety first attitude and a true desire to make your excursion one of a kind. Great trails make the Snow Mobiling incredible and the views are amazing. CBR is a must do!!!
We had a great time renting Snowmobiles at Colorado backcountry in Red Cliff. Family of four with two teenagers and it was the best time. The staff was friendly and showed us the area maps and routes. You can rent snowsuits and boots reasonably if you need them. You start on the trail immediately so there is no delay. Well worth the price for a half day. The ride was exciting and fun. The views of the mountains, trees, and snow was wonderful. I highly recommend this if you are near the I-70 resorts and are looking for a half day activity.
WE had a fabulous time snowmobiling. We're experienced snowmobilers - but that wasn't necessary - the trails were well marked and groomed and we had good maps. My 28 year old son rented a 'hot rod' sled - and he was thrilled. I had the 'cadillac'... but both sleds performed well. We were able to go all over - and up several mountains -where we had 360% views... it was awesome and then we went down and were able to go up another mountain top and see where we had just come from! The town was not far from Vail and I would definitely do this again and we plan to go ATV there next summer. It was well worth the money!
The guys came in and opened up for our afternoon ride. Even thou it's in between seasons the service is top notch. After looking at the choices for atv rental in the area, decided to drive the hour+ from Frisco which was scenic in itself. The views from the trail go from awesome to incredible. Looking forward to our return visit.
My family and I are on a 10,000 mile cross country trip and we decided to stop in Red Cliff, CO on our way back to Sacramento CA for a little small town relaxation. My 10 year old boy was itching to get out into the wilderness and after several hikes, we decided to switch it up and rent some ATV's. We found Colorado Back country Rentals in RED Cliff, CO. The owners Chuck and Mike of CBCR were so friendly and authentic. They treated my boy and I with such courtesy and respect. They went over all the safety points of the machines and were very thorough with the map of the trails. They also explained in depth what to do if we ran into any problems while out on the trail, which made me feel very comfortable as a Dad.My boy and i set out for three hours and we had the time of our lives! The machines ran absolutely flawlessly, handling any challenge we put them up against. I asked my boy at the end, if he had a good time and he responded; "We have been around the entire country these past 6 weeks seeing and doing so many incredible things, but this was by far the best adventure of the trip" Thank you Chuck and Mike, you guys rock!!Sincerely,Hero Dad
My first unguided ATV experience and it was a fantastic one. Mike and Chuck were thorough with our orientation and were adamant about us having a great time. Brand new 2014 Polaris ATVs were awesome. Trail maps were helpful and accurate. I look forward to the next opportunity to visit and I highly recommend to others.
My parents, husband and I went to Red Cliff to check these guys out. We were staying in Breckenridge and the drive was scenic and not far at all. They had the best ATV trails I have ever been on (and I have ridden a lot!) and it was an unguided tour which is something very unique. We were able to spend time where we wanted and they provided a great trail map for us to follow. They also had adorable dogs that were there to greet us. We will definitely be back and we look forward to trying out a snowmobile trip in the Winter!
It was our first time to rent ATV's. So glad we found CBR. We met Mike and Chuck, the owners of CBR, and you could tell they wanted us to have a great time. They were very thorough in going over the operation and safety of the equipment. They took the time to show us the map and explain the trails. Red Cliff is a beautiful little mountain town and the perfect spot to ATV. We will definitely be going back.
We were traveling east on route 24 off of route 70 in Colorado. The scenery was spectacular with mountain peaks and the Eagle River cutting through the valley just north of the Tennessee Pass. We saw a cut off that looked interesting and took a chance. What a pleasant surprise! This little town, like most in Colorado, has a strong mining history. Kayaking, biking and hiking in the summer are a few of the activities ....can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the winter. (Still wondering how you would get out in the winter but they assured us it was not a problem.) It was a typical, bright sunny day when we visited and had a great lunch at Mango's restaurant. Meal was good and service was great. Dining on the third floor deck added to the enjoyment. It is a very eclectic town and reminded us a lot of Bisbee, Arizona. If you enjoy something a little different than the typical tourist destination this is well worth the visit.
