This is one of the best homes for butterflies I had ever visited. you can find hundreds of various species of butterflies, moths and other insects from all over the world as well here. A must visit place in Denver.
The Butterfly Pavilion is a must see!! It has something for everyone---adults and children alike. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something special to do with their children.
Highly educational about the invertebrate world with great hands-on learning. Adults will enjoy the tropical rainforest with free-flying tropical butterflies. A great venue for small private and corporate events.
This is a great place to visit, with or without children! Beautiful flowers in the "rainforest" and gorgeous butterflies everywhere. Be sure to bring your camera!
This place is great to bring young children. The butterflies sometimes land on you and the kids are in awe! The butterflies are very beautiful. It's a small venue so you don't have to plan to spend a whole day here - just a couple hours is enough. They have other attractions as well - you can hold a tarantula even! It's really cool. And it's easy to get to just off of Route 36 at 104th St. Exit.
The Butterfly Pavilion and insect Center is a must see for any visitor to the Denver area! Not only were my grandchildren fascinated with the experience but so were we! Beautiful gardens with a plethora of butterflies! Bring your camera!
I took my nieces & nephews here and everyone had a wonderful learning experience. Way better than watching their minds and bodies rot sitting on their fannies playing video games.
A wonderful place to go if you like nature. There are lots to see and learn. The Butterfly Pavilion is great place to take children and friends. Their butterfly house is a must see.
This is great for young kids. I kind of expected this to be for all ages but found it was geared for young kids. The exhibits were well explained but all in a fashion for anyone 10 and under. I think the insect and spider also the ocean exhibits should be upgraded to include or engage everyone. I took my 13 year old and her friend for her birthday and we all did like the butterflies and the other exhibits but felt out of place because everything is set up for young children and not everyone.
This is definitely a GREAT place for young kids and toddlers. There are a ton of little hands on exhibits, exercises, think tanks, etc. that kids would love to spend hours doing. This visit however, was myself and my sister. Aside from the atrium, which is absolutely beautiful, there isnt much else to do. There are a couple of fish aquariums with some species and a few tanks with creepy crawlers, but that's about it.The atrium is very serene and a great place to relax and sit for a while. The release of butterflies is also pretty neat (happens 2-3 times a day). I would recommend visiting, but for $11 a person, I was expecting a little more.
The butterfly pavilion was an unexpected delight. The butterflies were beautiful and volunteers were very helpful. There was a lot of hands-on activities for children. and, of course, the butterflies are absolutely beautiful. There are many kinds.
My son loves to come here. The displays are set up well for very young kids. It is a bit small, but for toddlers that don't have a super long attention span it's a great place to visit.
My daughter loves this place. It is pretty small. It's nice to go on a cold day because it's tropical inside. There is a room were you can view different insects. They also have a mascot. Rosie the tarantula. You can hold her and get a sticker saying " I held Rosie" pretty cool. There is also a small area with horseshoe crabs and I believe starfish that kids can touch in water. The butterfly area is beautiful. They are flying everywhere and sometimes land on you. There are gorgeous flowers and tropical plants. There is even a little pond with turtles. It's small but a cute place to take the kids.
Great place to take little ones. They can hold a tarantula or pet a crab. The butterfly atrium is beautiful. Plan 2 hours for your visit if you have little ones. They also have a kids room with displays and a few cool interactive exhibits.
A unique place to visit with the chance to walk amongst lots of butterflies. Kids (and you) will love having a butterfly land on your hand.
