My boyfriend went on their 3 hour trail ride and it was absolutely beautiful. Our guide was really informative, he also took us to a creek (which was amazing) and let us get off the horses and hike a bit before continuing our ride. The views were way better than I expected--so happy we decided to come!

We had an excellent experience. Perfect service from planning, preparation upon arrival, guidance during the trip and personal attention throughout. The horses were in good shape and well mannered. Greg took great opportunities to take excellent group photos of us.

My wife and I are from Dallas and we really wanted a scenic horseback ride in the mountains. Sombrero Ranch delivered a perfect ride. Greg was an excellent guide.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and caring. We rode "the Pond" trail which was beautiful. The guides talked about the wild flowers, trees, and animals as we rode. They recommended hiking trails to check out and gave helpful riding tips.

Wonderful ride. The horses were great. Our guide Ben was so informative about the area,the plant life and the horses. He really made the ride a lot of fun. Highly recommend.

My wife, daughter, and I enjoyed our 1 hr trail ride. Our wrangler was very nice and knowledgeable. The scenery and trails were very manageable for beginning riders. We look forward to riding with Sombrero in Allenspark again.

This is my daughter and I's fourth visit to the Allenspark Stables, and they just keep getting better! The scenery and terrain can't be beat and the guides are very helpful and informative. Whether it's your first time on a horse or you've been riding for years, they'll have a ride that's perfect for you! I look forward to our next visit.

Really enjoyed our time on the ranch. Beautiful scenery and views of the mountains. Ranch hands were nice and informative about each horse. My girl got a movie star for a horse that was in Cowboys and Indians and she loved it too.

Take a two hour - the three hour is hard if you're a novice. Ask for Greg and Compass! I would love to ride with this group again!

Words couldn't describe the fantastic scenery and history that our guide took us through. Compass was a true joy to meet and by the time we left, we all felt like we had known each other for long time. The staff at this ranch were naturally friendly and you could tell that everyone there enjoyed their job. We've been to some places where the hands AND horses seemed like robots and the Allenspark Livery couldn't have been farther from that. We will definately be back!!The only tip that I would have is to make sure you have a written set of directions/phone # to the livery. Other than a road sign, we had no idea if we were on the right route. GPS tends not to work and there iis no cell service (at least for our providers) in that mountain area. It sure would have helped having some kind of sign for the ranch.

We went with our family with 5 he old to teens and adults for an hour and most with no experience. Greg was awesome leading us on the trail and the views were great. Ask for Greg!

As a New Yorker we really appreciated the true western hospitality and graciousness of our wrangler and office staff at sombrero ranch, Allenspark. We thought the ranch was great and a super cool place to experience true Colorado culture.

Loved Sombrero Ranch.Nice people, beautiful ride.Will definitely go again.Excellent opportunity for my 5 and 7 year old boys.I expect all the wranglers are good and we loved Ben!

My daughter is a cowgirl at heart. On our trip to CO she had wanted to go horseback riding. We found some very pricey places and almost cancelled horseback riding all together. We finally found Sombrero Ranch, very reasonable in price. The staff was very friendly and our guide Ben was very knowledgeable of the Mountains. We cannot wait to go back again next year!

This was the first time any of our kids have ridden a horse. They are ages 13-6. They LOVED their ride. Claire did an amazing job of helping our 6 year old feel comfortable on her horse. By the end of our ride she was riding on her own without a guide. Its a smaller ranch so you are not thrown in with a huge group of people. Our family of 6 were the only ones on our ride. The horses were gentle and easy to control. We did the 2 hour ride and it was the perfect length of time for us. Highly recommend this ranch for riding!
