I've been here with kids, many times. Its great for a class or your family. Its a bit different than the Queens Zoo, which I like a lot too. Its for the younger children. Its great in the Fall. They have hayrides and pumpkins and horse rides.

DO NOT go here unless toddlers are coming. The place is easily tailored to amuse younger crowds with live animals and their habitats. Older crowds will easily get bored here.

The farm is a working one!!!!!!!! It's a great place to take a class if you are a teacher; or your children if you want to introduce them to farm animals. There are even alpackas on the farm.And the wine and honey are home made and delicious.I have friends who rented the hall and renewed their vows here.What a refreshing blast of country life in the middle of Queens.

Urban children get to enjoy farm animals in an open air petting zoo atmosphere. A great way to spend some quality time with children and grandchildren. Parking available, also snacks, eggs and fresh vegetables. Needs an infusion of some money to make it more attractive. But it still is a fun afternoons enjoyment.

I have to say upfront that I don't really go to the Farm Museum to visit per se, but I do go to check out their flower and vegetable sales. Each weekend they seem to be hosting a different event, so you can see what is up on any particular weekend, but for the day in / day out stuff I just stick to the gift shop and greenhouse. Be prepared when there is a popular event that parking is tight. You have to park on Little Neck Parkway and can wind up hiking quite a bit to get to the entrance. I wouldn't recommend this site for anyone who has difficulty walking. The farm side of it is just ok. If you live in the city and don't get out to a farm very often this might be interesting.

I grew up just blocks (not acres!) away from this once working farm and back in the day me and my friends would wander around its perimeter looking at the crop fields and hoping the farm animals would come over so we could pet them. Those days are gone but...in its place...is an enchanting reserve of how life once was on Long Island back in its agricultural heritage.This is a simple place. No loud hup-a-la...no gimmicks...no real crowds to speak of. Just children (and their adult parents) wandering around checking out what a real farm does to fuel this planet. There are numerous events built around the variety of farm seasons and there are also occasional car shows and amusement events that reek of great nostalgia.Welcome to the Queens I once knew and now cherish at The Queens county Farm Museum.

The farm is a decent little place where you can see a few animals (and buy food and feed them if you want). It's not very big; you probably won't spend more than 2 hours there but it can be fun.

Went to the fair they had over the weekend. Lots of events such as pig races and performances. Jugglers and petting zoos are around. They had food at the event. We tried the seafood vendor. Fish and chips were decent. Lobster was garbage, don't order it.

I visited with family on a Saturday afternoon this summer (2014). I enjoyed viewing the animals and the farm itself. After our stroll through the farm we were able to purchase fresh pick vegetables to take home. But we just missed the eggs because they sold out before we could get the register. However, I took home some corn, tomatoes and their mustard seed for seasoning.We cooked the vegetables that same night and they were absolutely delicious. The freshness was also evident in the sweetness of the corn especially! I cant wait go again. It makes a great outing for children - my nephew loved petting the animals.

My children have gone on many field trips to this Farm. They always love it and want to go back for more. As a family, we have visited many times and have enjoyed their many seasonal festivities.We highly recommend a visit!

Plenty of farm animals, horses, cows, bull. pigs, chickens, goats, etc. Also has a vineyard and winery.

The Queens County Farm Museum has a lot to offer visiting families, which usually includes a fee. One of the events include are summer Carnivals which include many rides, games, and many food choices. Another summertime event is a Native American Pow Wow. During October, the farm has a corn maze, a tractor hayride, stuff your own scarecrow, and pumpkin patch. During December the farm usually hosts some holiday dinners at the on grounds restaurant, where the produce and food are produced locally or on the farm. The farm is also a fun place for children to feed and interact with fenced in sheep, cows, pigs, goats,and chickens. One of the farm buildings hosts puppet shows for younger children and has restrooms. The farms gift shop sells fresh eggs, apple butter, jam and jelly, tee shirts, sweat shirts, and various farm themed toys. On ground parking is usually free.

Great FREE farm where you can purchase the eggs from the chickens you've just met! A small farm stand in the summer months. Fun fall activities (fee).

A great day trip you want a free walk around an operational farm and see cows, sheep, goats, pigs, and chickens. You can buy great organic produce from the farm stand. If you can get there early enough for eggs, they don't get any fresher.

Visited to get pumpkins and some photo ops ended up having a nice experience solving the corn maize, eating yummy queens farm-grown corn and arepas. Wanted to try the apple cider but the line was long and they ran out. Pay extra for hay rides, and petting zoo, parking free.
