If drinkin' and more drinkin' are your thing, then this is absolutely the local dive to do that at. Friendly staff will set you up with the libation of your choice for CASH ONLY. I believe they have a very honest motto along the lines of "if you don't start early, how can you drink all day?" No B.S. here, just a mature crowd with some sweet aging drunks offering friendly conversation complete with a brogue, beer breath and a knowing wink of bleary eye.The rating of very good is a reality as long as you bear in mind the purpose of the place. Parkside has a nice long bar with plenty of space around, pool tables, digital juke box and several flat screens for whatever sport season it is, that make for a great local hang-out. Occasional Open Mic nights offer the unique treat of acoustic and electric local talent to liven the atmosphere greatly. I will actually enjoy a return to The Parkside and recommend it for budget-friendly, no frills bar night :-)I hope you find this review helpful!
