early owego antique center

I have been to this place a number of times, with my wife and son, and we love it! It's like a museum, except that you can (for the most part) touch the exhibits and make a true connection with history. They have something there for everyone and are constantly changing thier inventory. It's a great place to go on cold wintery days, when you need some relief from your cabin fever!

What a great concept - a multitude of antiques/memorabilia vendors together under one roof with one central checkout counter. The place is quite large (old Newberry's) with two floors of interesting antiques and ephemera to explore. If you are an antiques or history buff, you could easily spend several hours inside with pleasant and unexpected finds around every corner.We have been here at least a dozen times over the past year & have purchased many great finds and collectible items. Even with multiple visits, the place is never dull or boring. It seems the managers and vendors do a great job of adding new items and rotating the merchandise within the booths to keep things fresh, exciting and interesting. This place has become one of our favorite destinations while strolling around the charming, scenic and historic village of Owego.

OMG!!! My husband and I like stopping at antique shops but THIS one takes the cake! Even my 13 yr old boys loved this place!Its VAST - two floors and tons of vendors selling such a wide variety of things!We spent 3 hours there and could have easily spent more time but we had to get home.Definitely planning on going back someday even though we live 4 hours away!We left there with quite a variety of things: a replica of an old phone with wonderful emebelishments - $30! A very nice desk, an amazing ivory looking little end table, a crazy cute replica of a red English telephone booth, a stunning elephant tusk with carved Elephants all over it and a set of 10 spoons with the most beautiful handle designs.I have no more room in my house for anything and yet I can not wait to get back to this place!!!
