Enjoy Troy at this fabulous outdoor and indoor Farmers' Market - year round! You can do all of your CHristmas shopping in one place, and get all of your vegetables for the week.

80 vendors and Troy is a great little town to visit. An incredible array of local food products. Even in the rain we had a blast.

Troy is one of the countless small towns that had a booming industrial heyday back in the 1950's, only to have it wither into to a decrepit pile near the turn of the century. For a while there, neglected downtown areas, along with obsolete factories and warehouses, pretty much ruined the landscape. However, hats off to the city of Troy for trying to turn it around! With the Troy Market they've really made a cool area destination for anyone who appreciates good food and drink. I was really quite impressed with all the vendors in the market. They had heaps of meats, cheeses, wines, fruit/veg, etc and everything seemed to be locally made/grown. From the few things we tried, everything seemed to be good to excellent quality.Hopefully, the Town of Troy can keep this market going and use it as a foundation to further improve the area.

The Troy Farmer's Market is a great way to spend a Saturday morning. They had a wide range of food, wine and craft offerings. We had lunch at a Caribbean food tent that was tasty and not expensive. The only problem I found was that there were no outdoor restrooms available.

The Troy Farmer's Market is definitely the best in the Capital District. The offerings are varied, from fruits and vegetables, to soaps, plants, beer and wine! I was also pleasantly surprised to see that Harvest Spirits Distillery in Valatie, NY had a booth selling their wonderful Core Vodka. We picked up a bottle of their new Cherry Brandy! They offer samples so you know what you're getting. The market is very family oriented with lots of kids in strollers, but - to me - best of all, it is dog friendly. My little dachshund loves to walk around Troy and the market. I have never heard one dog bark while walking around the city or market. A very nice outing on a Saturday morning.

Quaint little market. We went right after the shies cleared after a storm, but there were still several booths with nice produce and goodies. Live Music was provided and there were many boats on the water. The corn we got was delicious!

Whenever possible, I try to shop in Farmer's Markets. Because we have a limited season in upstate New York where we are assured of local FRESH produce, I try to go to the Troy Farmer's Market every week on Saturday between 9-1. It is much more fun when it is outdoors and in addition to the stalls of organic meat, fresh produce of all types, the market is a riot of colors as people bring wonderful hanging baskets and flower vendors have gorgeous fresh flowers. We all have our favorite vendors. The market has expanded the numbers of "eat as you go" and prepared food vendors to include fresh Italian stuffed breads, Thunder Mountain Curry, Caribbean, Mexican breakfast burritos made while you wait; two coffee vendors, fresh belgian waffles etc. After coffee, I head to THE BERRY PATCH stall and wait (not so patiently) for one of the women to provide fresh strawberries, blueberries and incredible yellow cherry tomatoes which I pop as a snack all week. The berries are usually picked either the evening before or early the morning of the market so everything is incredibly fresh. Also, it is the only place I can find fresh squash blossoms in season. Cornell Farms has incredible fresh eggs of all sizes and if you get lucky, fresh lilacs, and wonderful produce. Battenkill Dairy has rich fresh chocolate milk that isa favorite of my younger son's family when they are visiting. Just buy a pint and drink it as you walk through the market. It is also the only market in the area where you can buy some of Mrs. London's Bake Shop fabulous breads, flaky scones, incredible croissants and sometimes danish and Bretons. Buddahapesto which was written up in the New York Times food section still maintains a stall because he said he could never desert those who initially put him on the map. For the summer market only, it is a privilege to have a vendor with incredibly fresh ricotta, and two different types of Italian hard cheese. He also sells olive oil from family presses in Italy where he and his family spend six months working the farm. In addition he carries cappricola, and other meats. Pricey but worth every dime. Don't miss Fifi, who with her friend makes the most incredible bean salad, stuffed vegetarian peppers, and dolmas on the face of the planet. Pricey but worth every penny. I've been to every Farmer's Market in the area, and the Troy market is the only one I am certain to make an effort to go to almost every week. If you love good, fresh food, start your shopping week with the Troy Farmer's Market.

The Troy Farmers' Market is the best one in the area. The outside market starts in May, there are fabulous vendors of meat, vegetables, pesto, prepared foods, plants, fresh juices and also cute pottery stores, clothing stores and other cool funky stores in downtown Troy. The market also goes in the winter inside the Uncle Sam Atrium and has a great selection then too. The vibe of this market is relaxed and unpretentious.

The biggest and best Farmers Market in the Capital District Region......a definite GO TO site on a Saturday from 9 - 2pm. I like the outdoor version best.....it's a great stroll down a closed off River St. enjoying the many vendors selling everything from fruits and veggies.....to wine, baked goods and prepared foods like Pad Thai, relenos, stuffed cabbage, etc. There is music and plenty of folks (and some doggies) for people watching.Enjoy!

This was one of the best farmer's markets we have been too. My daughter couldn't wait to take us there during parents weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. Had breakfast there and walked and looked while we ate.

Always trip advisor places we vacation...decided to look p what was in Albany ny and was shocked to see a farmers market come up as second best thing to do...so decided to check it out...as an avid lover of farmers markets I have to say this is the best in town...with close runner up of delmar on Saturdays as well...vast variety of vendors...all vegetable vendors a little pricey..all charge by the pound, really loved the unique tents of fresh pasta, homemade pesto..it's delicious!, fresh breads and I've never seen a mushroom farmer before! Very crowed...nice hat its year round, parking garage albeit dirty available, worth the trip from Guilderland...would definitely go back

Found on Sunday, this place is open until 2 PM. It's large and located in a very quaint area. You can find anything from local soaps and coffees to lobster quiche and chocolate pancakes. As expected, you can find lots of fruits and veggies here. The vendors are very nice and accommodating and you can probably make a meal out of bumming free samples. You can also can also buy a meal at various vendors.

I have seen farmers markets in several major European and South American cities and many in this country. The Troy's Waterfront Farmers Market is way up there! What makes this market special is not just the great collection of wonderful local products on sale, but how the market is managed. Every week there is new music performers and on a few occasions when the market has to change location because of city events all happens smoothly and perfectly! The collection of products from many varieties of fresh caught ocean fish to numerous cheeses to rare and exautic mushrooms to seasonal fruits and vegetables is incomparable. If you are in Troy on a Saturday between 9 AM and 1 PM, don't miss visiting this market!
