I visit Twin Brooks with my dog several times a week- we meet friendly people, fun dogs, and there is a good variety of walking areas.

If you find yourself in the Cumberland Maine area and would like to easily enjoy the outdoors with your off-leash dog, for a short or long easy trail hike--this is an excellent, well-maintained local park. The park is open to many non-motorized outdoor activities. It has two access points: one is the Tuttle Road side, home to two soccer fields, indoor bathrooms, and, several short and long trail systems. The other is the Greeley road side, home to ballfields, and, several short/long trail systems (and an outdoor Johnny). The park is separated centrally by a creek. During snow-covered months, the Tuttle Road side is maintained for cross country skiing, dogs are not allowed. Horses are allowed in the park, but may use it only in designated areas.Depending on the time of day, you can find yourself using this park alone. It's a wonderful experience, providing you a taste of the Maine Woods. There is one short easy asphalted trail system on the Tuttle Road side for persons with limited physical abilities or who use wheelchairs.Bring doggie bags--if your dog poops, you scoop. Also be aware of just a few dog owners who do not understand that they own a dangerous dog. It's the reason why I always carry a big stick.

the town of Cumberland has benefited by generous residents: they have gifted a huge parcel of land. A big chunk is used for athletics, but it has a great trail system
