jamestown windmill

Anyone wishing to see how it was done centuries ago don't miss this example of a working windmill which uses sails to power the mechanism we'll keep by a group of volunteers

It was closed when we got there, but we were able to take some pictures - would go there again for a closer look.

The Jamestown Windmill is a little known tourist attraction with lots of history behind it. We "discovered" it and stopped this year, we had always seen it there, but it's only open on Sunday ~ staffed by volunteers ~ so we made it a point to stop this year on Vacation.
