ch'i spa

My husband and I both had a facial (second time) at Ch'i Spa Saturday. We arrived early and they took us in immediately. The treatment room was serene and quiet with soft lighting and music and a very comfortable table; everything was immaculate. My operator, Samantha (the owner), asked me if there were any areas in particular I wanted concentrated on and I told her how much I enjoyed the neck and shoulder massage, arm and hand massage the first time. She proceeded with a deep cleansing and exfoliation, then did some "extractions" and a facial mask. While that was drying, she gave my neck, shoulders and head the most incredible massage. This was totally "value-added" as far as I was concerned! I practically fell asleep I was so relaxed. We interacted, but mostly, she concentrated on my face and made recommendations as to kinds of cleansers and moisturizer to use without ever giving me a sell job (clearly, they sell products). After the FULL HOUR massage, I felt sparkling clean and my face was glowing. For the price, I have never gotten such a thorough and relaxing facial with upper body massage anywhere else. Samantha asked me if I minded if she used strong hands (I didn't) and she really loosened up my neck and shoulders in addition to making my complexion feel wonderful. I would highly recommend Ch'i Spa as being worth the 15-minute drive from downtown Providence. The staff is very friendly and professional and although the Spa is small, the service they provided was excellent (clearly we enjoyed the price and treatment, as we both returned for a second facial). We will return every three months as we feel they provide top-notch service which is reasonably priced.
