The wife and I had dinner last night here it was our first time. We have tried before but didn't because of the long wait. This time we had reservations. The pork chops were very good and so was the desserts it's worth the wait.
Took my best friend with me to Patti's for dessert and to see the lights at Christmas time. There is absolutely nothing like it anywhere. It is beyond beautiful and a sight to see for adults as well as children. EVERY room in Patti's is decorated to the hilt (including the bathrooms) to your highest imagination beginning at Thanksgiving through the middle of January and the entire town of Grand Rivers, Kentucky is decorated for the holiday. The food at Patti's is above par and they have their specialties (2 inch pork chop, for example) which cannot be beat. Just seeing their pies (which are approximately 6 inches thick with meringue) will almost make you laugh when they bring them to you as you can't believe they expect you to eat that much! Definitely worth the trip to this sleepy little town just to spend the day and enjoy it all!
Talent is top notch. Small theater with personal feeling. Favorite show for presentation of performers talent is The Variety Show and my favorite is The Fifties as it is my music. I visited many times in 2014 and am a groupie. Look forward to their 2015 schedule for more show to attend or revisit in the new year1
We were with a large group, but the quick service and attentiveness of our servers was excellent. I was impressed with the quality of food, the décor for the Christmas season, and the bottomless drink refills. This restaurant and gift shop is worth the drive to experience their famous pork chop sensation.
Very popular among out of towners. Crowded and somewhat expensive to locals, My daughter and I had their porkchop on her birthday. It was delicious. This is a nice place for a special occasion, but very loud and really cold, this time of year. We will return another day, but it will be a while. A little Patti's goes a long way.
Just about have to stop at Patti's for the pork chops. Gets really busy so you may want to make reservations.
Drove two hours just to eat here! I was not disappointed. I had the new Oscar Fillet, which was delicious. My friend had the 1" pork chop and it was more than enough! Could not resist getting the coconut pie before we left. You will never leave here hungry. The day was pleasant walking around visiting the little shops.
Go at Christmas and walk through the lights, very pretty. The shops are quite pricey but you can shop clearance for deals. They also have a Mr. & Mrs Claus you can get a photo with
The atmosphere makes this place! The area is almost a mini (very mini) Gatlinburg. And the settlement has great food, with wonderful choices. I enjoyed catfish! The price was not as steep as we expected, either! The stores connected are terribly overpriced, though. There are several very sweet cats wondering around, and I enjoyed a few minutes of their company before we headed out.
Stopped here because of a billboard on the highway and info on the internet--a spur of the moment distraction from driving most of the day! What a treasure! Every little shop had something different--handmade crafts from every state in the union, Fontanini nativity sets, vintage and modern clothing, Disney and Elvis type trinkets, baby shop, Christmas shop, all kinds of jewelry, baskets, beautiful flowers and greenery, Patti's restaurant with huge loaves of homemade bread and pie. A very relaxing place to enjoy.
I have gone to Patti's several times. It is especially interesting the first time a person is there. The food is good, but pricey. A good destination for a special occasion.
The landscaping itself is worth the walk. However, if you actually enter the shops, its a lot of over-priced kitsch.
The food is good, but the menu seems a little heavy and outdated. They really should revise the menu to provide more vegetarian options. The grilled pork chops are excellent, and the pies are the best thing on the menu. You can also buy whole pies for carryout. Also, make reservations. The wait can be very long during the tourist season
Meal took over 45 minutes to come to table. Cost was totally insane and food was gross. Fat is the primary ingredient served with a side of blubber. Each person had different menu item and all were drizzled with fat. Over priced, crowded seating, noisey, just a great place to avoid.
We saw all the signs on our way to Paducah. And all the pamphlets around the other sites we visited. So, we planned the drive from Paducah to arrive at the advertised hours we read in a pamphlet. When we got there the only thing open was the parking lot. All activities and gift shops were closed with no hours posted, either matching or conflicting with pamphlets. If you advertise you're open, BE OPEN. Thank you for ruining and wasting our time and gas on my wife's birthday. We had a nice drive back to Paducah and found places that were open when they said they would be. No thanks to Patti's.
