You should definitely stop by Wild Bill Lake if you are in the area. Our family has such great memories from our visits. We took both our Son's on their first fishing trips there several years ago. We were fortunate to schedule time for a visit there this year and enjoyed a picnic lunch. A great place to visit!
I heard from lots of people that this is a great pond/lake to take kids learning to fish. I agree with that, but it was just too crowded for my taste. It was hard to find a spot with my 2 girls.
great place to take the kids fishing! Good trails. We've even taken the dogs there for a walk. Red Lodge creek right across the highway
Nice lake close to town. Nice well kept trails make walking around Lake easy. Water is so clear you can watch the trout chase your bait. Perfect fishing for the young ones. Took my Grandson here for his first Fly Fishing trip and we had a blast!
Nice walk, went off the CC ski road and perhaps should have stayed on it to stay along the steam. Good pics of a nice wooded, shaded walk. Saw lots of families and dogs.
Take the kids here for good fishing. Use corn and bobbers, the lake has small trout that are stocked. There are picnic tables for day use, it is bear country so be aware
Been fishing here since I was a child. Took my dad here this past summer and even in his wheel chair we could access both picnic tables and make it up and around the lake.
Love this little lake and the trail around it! It is such a beautiful area and makes for a lovely stroll.
beautiful backdrop kids love it and cant wait to get back there always cool on a hot day! Nice place to picnic and relax
It's a great place to take small kids or the old folks for a short hike and to fish and the surroundings are beautiful. Our grandkids love it, hence I know about small kids and old folks!
Just a short distance from Red Lodge, in the heart of the forest, is a lovely lake stocked with trout that love marshmellows and cheese! Great for families and adults. Picnic areas and walking paths around the lake.
Its a great little hike around the lake and not challenging. A good spot for the pooches to take a dip.
We went there, when the road is closed. We had a nice walk from the gate, maybe a little over a mile. The trail around the lake was open, it is very small. We have driven by in the summer and it is so crowded there are not even places to begin to stop and park.
It's just a very short walk to the lake. A short trail goes along the shore. There is a fishing pier. It's a rustic spot, has been popular spot for locals for years to take their kids fishing here.
Fishing, nature walk, fresh air. Interesting little details like the Bearberries all along the path and Park bathrooms (read, outhouse, but nice for the setting).
