nine pipe reservoir

We thought this was a beautiful little area but saw very few birds....it would have been helpful if we had been able to stop by early morning. Still glad we made the effort.

A nice place to stroll and unwind and to do a bit of wildlife spotting. Not far from the National Bison range and combining the two can make for a lovely day out.

I saw about 50 species in/around this area in a day of birding, which is good since it snowed for at least one of those days! Lots of small water bodies to check out with a scope.

Nine pipe reservoir is a great place to view waterfowl. It also has some pretty darned good bass fishing. You also might catch a glimse of a Grizzley Bear...they sometimes travel down from the Mission Mountains to do a bit of their own fishing. Nine pipes Museum is home to some early Native American artifacts and definately worth a stop
