Made a reservation with Livinggood lodging and they cancelled us 3 days later because a atv magazine wanted to stay there. Are they better than us??? What about our reservation????? Didn't matter!

There is a lot of fun to be had out there on these trails! One of the best tourism spots in the state if you ask me. If you enjoy ATV's, get out there!

We had an awesome time riding through the trails. Be sure to bring some old clothes ie: clothes you can just throw away after the ride. You will get muddy!!

Incredible trail system! This is one of many trails that make up the Hatfield McCoy trails. Highly recommend you spend a few days riding here. I happen to go in February on my dirt bike with some friends. They get a lot of snow down there so it was really challenging. Had an absolute blast.

this was such an exciting adventure to do something when you're older than most! We wanted to experience the Hatfield McCoy trails while we can still go and have fun in our 70's. We had no problems and loads of fun riding our Polaris Ranger over these trails. They are well maintained and lots of fun. Livingood Lodge provided a central location in Gilbert WV.

Great trails, food and people. We stayed at the Colonial Inn. Motel could use some upgrades and freshened up on the inside. The Lounge and Restaurant right across the parking lot were awesome!!! loved drinking a few beers with the locals that hang out there. Stopped in Keith's Bar and Grill for some of the best ribs we have had in awhile. Everything you would need is in riding distace In Man.

Rockhouse has plenty of trails for all riding abilities. Well-maintained trails. Randy Cline's Wildwood Cabins are just outside the entrance. You can ride into Man or Gilbert for lunch. Our favorite was Keith's Bar & Grill because it may be the only restaurant in the area that serves cocktails. Very friendly!

We typically stay at Big Earls campground (easy access to trail head) and the owner is super nice! Trails vary from easy to difficult. You need to buy a trail pass, its $50 for a year for out of state people but will last the whole 12 months so worth the price when you hit up the HMT system as often as we do.

HMT provides several great places to ride of varying degree. I've rode down there in all four seasons.

Nice trails. We stay at little coal most of time, but have been to others. Beautiful place and views. Best in the rains.

It doesn't matter if you have been riding for years or just beginning, this place is for you. The green trails are simple but with some little challenges which are just enough to build your confidence. This has become our families annual tradition.

We recently visited the Rockhouse Trail System. West Virginia is doing a great job with their trail system. While on the trails we meet several employees grooming the trails. The trails are well marked, but the maps also come in helpful. We only rode the green trails and they were challenging enough for us. There is a reason they call it Rockhouse-lots of rocks. Some of our groups were beginners, but got along fine. We rode 2 days and covered all of the green trails. Look forward to experiencing other trail systems. We stayed north of Gilbert at Wildwood Cabins. Would definitely recommend.

Spent 3 days there with friends on 4 wheelers. We rode the Rockhouse & Bear Wallow trails. Excellent riding trails. Well marked & maintained. Everyone we met there had great things to say with good advice for first timers. The staff & rangers were very friendly & made the trip very enjoyable. There were trails for everyone from beginners to the very advanced. The worst part was leaving all those beautiful mountains behind. Will be back to do the remaining trails. West Virginia has definitely hit the mark with these trails & they are " World Class". The best part is that there is one permit to buy that allows access to all the trail system.

Fairly well marked, your either all uphill or all downhill. And for that reason there is little muddy areas. Lots of wrecks on our three day ride. Not for the inexperienced.

Such a beautiful area. We stayed at V8 Motor Lodge in Gilbert. Rode RockHouse and Bear Wallow. V8 motor lodge was wonderful, clean, comfortable. Owner very nice. (Has its own website-Google "V8 Motor Lodge, Gilbert, WV"). Trails were fun. Maps very well marked as to trail difficulty. Local towns are ATV friendly. Made for a wonderful vacation! HIGHLY reccomend V8. Beautiful setting right on river. Private and peaceful. Only 200 yds from trail head.
