wheeling heritage trail system

i love walking this trail there is a playground also for kids you can walk as far as you want. benches along the way if you need to sit down . you can also walk pets. you have 2 different routes to walk one going to elm grove and one to south whg. got great scenes of the ohio river with boats barges. just sit in the grass and relax. when you get to heritage port they have vendors on fri and when events are going on . this is a nive trail to walk i will be there for sure in the spring

The Wheeling trail system has essentially two routes - the Ohio River system follows the river from Clearview in the northern reaches of the city down to South Wheeling. The Wheeling Creek trail heads east to Elm Grove. It's a great resource for commuting, exercise, etc. In addition, the city often hosts events along the trail, including a Zombie walk in October. Totally awesome system for a city of this size.
