My husband and I stopped during a road trip.... It was a fun time! We would go back. The giraffe was the best. Don't expect for you or your car to leave clean :)
Went to Louisiana to visit family and went to the Wild Country Safari Park again. Had a great time and took a few more people with me. I didn't know they had a giraffe (his name is Billy). That was really cool. To be that up close to one and all the animals they had there. Camels, Zebras, Buffalo/Bison, different types of deer. Kangaroos. They have a petting zoo also. It is alot of fun. A must see if you are passing through.
Beware the camels steal the cups of food....sneaky little devils. I took my nephews a niece and they loved it. If you have a chance take the kids you will not be disappointed! They have a pretty good range and amount of animals. The little joey at the front was a real hit!
A group of family of about 15 (kids and adults) traveled here during the Labor Day weekend...We had so many laughs and just an overall good time. If you're not afraid of dealing with animals firsthand, this experience is well worth it..And it's not very costly...It's definitely nature at its best! The staff were very friendly and helpful...This was my second time coming and I know we'll certainly be coming back again and again :-)
My two grandkids and I visited the park a few months ago. We had a wonderful time on the guided tour seeing all the animals in the park. My granddaughter wanted to adopt some of the animals in the petting zoo and bring them home with us. We are going to make a second trip there this week and take their pappy (grandfather) with us this time. Makes for a good family trip and fun for all!
Driving though the park was so exciting. Had a camel stick his head in the window and stoled the feed cup from my grand daughter. Freaked her out but we all laughed after. Seeing the different animals walking around is amazing. It is like being on a African Safari.. I strongly recommend you check it out.
Had a great visit to this park on Saturday, March 8, 2014. With this being the offseason, there were only 2 scheduled tours for the day. However, we arrived an hour before the tour began and were able to enjoy the animals in the petting zoo as well as the playground they have. The wagon tour was a lot of fun for everyone in our group. There are plenty of animals to see and feed. The animals will come right up to the wagon when they see it coming. We had a great time and will probably make this a frequent day trip. There was not a cafe onsite; however, they do have snacks and drinks. There is a gift shop that offers souvenirs at great prices. All employees were encountered were friendly and knowledgeable.
