A stop in Kaffie-Frederick is a must when in town. You can view/purchase fine china then go further back into the store and buy parts for your horse and buggy setup! The place is modern as well as a step back in time. Been there countless times but still go just to look or to find that "hard-to-find" hardware item.

Be ready to spend at least an hour here, more if you like to cook, tinker or just like good solid stuff! Hint.........guys the upstairs is for the lady stuff, stay downstairs for the manly man stuff.

My husband and i loved the old mercantile store. they had so many need things to see both old and new. The people were very friendly and it was like stepping back into time when the general store had everything you needed. So worth the time to stop and take a look!!

We visited Natchitoches and made a point of stopping in here, the history and odd assortment of items is worth the time. Some other reviewers have said that it's nothing special & while some of the items they carry can be found in any store it's more the setting and history that make it special than the actually items for sale. All the original items (cash register, elevator, etc) are still in working order and even the youngest employee is well versed in the store's history. We had a wonderful time talking the woman who runs Cockfield's which is located inside. She helped us to put together a terrarium for our dining table and was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. It's not a destination for sure but just a nice place to step back in time and spend a few minutes exploring.

It is one of the oldest stores in Natchitoches. It carries some of everything. Old type of pots and pans. My grandmother went every Christmas eve and bought a gift for someone. She was born in 1899 and lived to be 90. She shopped there often.

Kaffie-Frederick truly does have a little bit of everything. I highly suggest visiting the store during Christmas time. They decorate the upstairs section-it's like a Christmas wonderland!

had read and heard so many wonderful things about this place that it took over top priority to see. its large and indeed has a lot of stuff but not nearly as neat as i thought it would be. nothing real unusual there. just the same ole stuff you see everywhere.

Love this store, a must visit place in natchitoches...great variety of items, something for everyone.

Great selection of classic toys, variety of things not seen everyday and plenty of history. We stayed for quite a while because there is so much to see!

Loved the atmosphere of seeing actual items from the past as well as the new "vintage" toys we enjoyed as children. Found several cooking gadgets, too.

This store has everything including history! We enjoyed walking through and looking at all the unique items they had. Plus they had a great sale on Christmas decorations that we took advantage of while we were there. I would definitely recommend stopping by.

This store is packed with everything you need ... and don't need that has anything to do with an old fashioned general store or outdoor living or camping or cooking or home decor including kitchen cabinet hardware or pocket knives or ... you name it! :)

An old style hardware store that has lots of old "stuff" and high quality new merchandise. They had everything from barbecue grills and smokers to nuts and bolts.

The staff were very helpful. We were looking for a flag pole and a staff member happily brought us to the section they were located in. We were so pleased we bought two! We also found an unusual gift for our grand-daughter who is almost a year old. We spent a lovely time walking thru the store, so many of the items we remembered from our parents' and grandparents' homes.
