limestone springs golf club

We were on a road trip with our best friends and the plan was to golf the Robert Trent Jones golf trail. As we were researching the golf courses, we came across someone's reviews of the golf courses near Birmingham which rated Limestone Springs higher than Ross Bridge and with a senior rate of $39 with cart, we decided to try it. Wow were we amazed at the beauty and condition of this course. Our friends said it was as beautiful as any course they've ever played. Since I've play courses like Pacific Dunes I can't say the same thing but it is clearly the most beautiful course I've played for the money. It's right up there with courses four times that rate, It was just the right level of difficulty without being frustratingly so (we have handicaps between 18-28). Also, the staff was as friendly and helpful as anywhere we've golfed and the food in the grill was delicious - try their specialty the club sandwich...it's huge so we decided to share it. Great GPS electric carts with instructions of how to play each hole (a first for us).

Gorgeous golf course design by Jerry Pate. Apparently not well known as there was hardly any one there but the group I was with. Lots of elevation changes. Lots of scenic views. Course was in excellent shape. Staff was very friendly both inside the pro shop, at the bag drop and in the grill.
