wales west r.v. resort light railroad

We have enjoyed their Halloween, Christmas and Easter events. the people are so friendly and accommodating. It is an excellent place to take the kids. I would recommend it to anyone.

We brought our one year old here for the Christmas experience. We wwnt just as it was getting dark so we could see all the lights. $15 is a bit pricey for an RV/trailer park Christmas village, but they give you your money's worth. We rode the train through the woods (complete with fake snow!) to see Santa at the "North Pole." There was also a hay ride, playground, and petting zoo. By the time we left, around 7pm, there was a HUGE line to get on the train. Check with the ticket booth before you buy so you don't find yourself in a 2-hour line for the train ride!

wonderful family fun at the resort went for Halloween and the scary train was great with the haunted house, riding the train, hayride and the little train.but the resort at Christmas was even better with the lights and displays the kids were thrilled to take the train to see Santa and the elves and Ms C reading a story and each child gets a gift. everyone was so nice when you get back from your visit you get hot coco,cookie ,and a candy cane.there was a petting zoo with pony ride and a playground

OK so $15.00 a person is a little pricey, but where else can you take a train ride, have a snack, and decorate a pumpkin, or see the Easter Bunny or sit on Santa's lap for this price. My son is train fanatic and he loves going to Wales West. It is ALWAYS GREAT family time!! We have been numerous times and are going again tonight!!

I was a little nervous as we pulled in, but this little RV park had an amazing spread for Halloween. A haunted house, tractor pulled hay rides, and two train rides! They do this for several holidays! We will definitely go back!

Wales west is not your typical RV park. They maintain a one mile railroad track with actual working steam & coal fired locomotives as well as all the amenities of a RV park (swimming pool, hot tub, laundry etc.). We stayed one weekend during the month of May when they put on the "Great Train Robbery". Great fun for adults and kids. The park employees and volunteers dress up in old west costumes, guest get to ride the train and get robbed by real bandits on horseback. They then move on to the "town of Beaver Gulch" to inform the sheriff to round up the baddies. During the year they also have amazing themed events for Easter, Halloween and over 2,000,000 lights for Christmas. If you like to camp, or even if you dont, I recommend a vist to Wales West.
