Bumping into Adam of Five dogs Fishing one morning in the summer of 13 turned into a wonderful fishing trip down the Kenai River, my 1st. Now, this summer will be my second and for sure it will be with Adam...can't wait. Wonderful guy and guide

Our family of 5 went out early with Adam towards the end of July 2014. We had a fantastic morning! We all caught fish! Adam took us to a great spot. We caught enough fish to have some that night and still bring home about 18 pounds. Such a great experience during our Alaska trip!

My wife Sue and I decided to finally made the big trip of our life. We hooked up the camper and left Illinois for the big state of Alaska! 11,000 miles plus round trip and 64 days! After reviewing all the fishing regulations we decided to get on line and find an outfitter. The first one we called out of the blue was booked and they recommended there friend Adam at Five Dogs. Very lucky for us, my son had flown in to Anchorage to stay with us for a week and this trip was perfect! His patience was great, none of us had ever fly fished before this trip could'nt have went better. We caught are limit of Sockeye in six hours or less , the kenia river was one of the most beautiful any of us had ever seen! Adam is a great person as well as fishing guide and we feel privileged to call him a friend. I am 59 years old and this was one of the most memorable outdoor experiences of my life.

If we could just meet up and fish somewhere once every other month or so, I wouldn't complain!

My sons and I had a great time; unfortunately, no salmon were running so we caught a few smaller "throwbacks" that were a fun experience. Next time I will try to book closer to the middle of July when the reds might be running.This was not a visit for "teens," but for me and my grown sons.

Fishing the Kenai with Adam will truly be one of the most memorable days of my life. We did the 6 hour trip and I regret not doing the 8 hour. I booked this trip for my family of four that included my husband, my 18 yr. old son, my 13 yr. old daughter, and myself. You have the beautiful Kenai River with water that looks like it's from the Caribbean Ocean You have the gorgeous mountains and wildlife of Alaska, but to make it a perfect day you have Adam working like crazy to make sure your family catches fish. He works by rowing that drift boat loaded with gear and people up river so you can drift back down and make your catch. Plus, he's just a great guy to hang out with all day!

My three boys (10, 8, and 5 years), my wife, and myself had a great time fishing. He took us out on the boat and we caught lots of fish and saw great wildlife. All my boys were all able to catch several fish including a couple of salmon! It was so much fun fishing off the boat, Adam even had wader for us to wear to go fishing off the banks. He was very nice and patient with our boys - would recommend him for other families.

We drove past the Kenai river on our way to Homer and decided we had to fish that river. We set up a time with Adam for a few days later. It was by far the best part of our two week Alaska trip! We had so much fun we scheduled another trip for the next day! Adam is a great guide and Danette made the scheduling and payment painless. Great people. Highly recommend!

My husband and I went on a 6 hour float trip with Adam of Five Dogs Fishing in July 2014. From start to finish the experience was well beyond our expectations and was definitely THE highlight of our trip! It was incredibly easy to book with exceptional customer service and everything went exactly as planned...including catching amazing fish and viewing wildlife (moose!!). We opted for a trip shared with another party who booked for the same day. Initially we were hesitant to do so but it greatly added to the experience! It was like fishing with friends from home. While we were new to fly fishing the other guest on board was quite experienced and Adam seamlessly provided high quality fishing opportunities for both skill levels. Adam also helped us to learn several new techniques and within no time we were fishing on our own. We would - and have - recommended booking with Five Dogs to our friends and family!

We had the most amazing time with Five Dogs Fishing!My husband and I went out for one afternoon of fishing with Adam and had such a good time that we booked a second trip, later in the week. I had absolutely ZERO experience fly fishing, and my husband's experience was minimal. Adam's instruction was perfect, and we were both able to catch several different types of fish. Of the salmon that we caught, we were able to keep five for eating.Adam is a fun guy who entertained us, not only with his skills, but also with good conversation. And we really feel like fishing the Upper Kenai is the only way to go. The setting couldn't be better, and we weren't standing elbow-to-elbow with a bunch of other fisherman.Also, the logistics of it were great- Adam's wife was super friendly and helpful. The experience was so good, the logistics would hardly have mattered, BUT they rocked in this department as well. It was great to be on vacay in Alaska, not knowing much of anything about what we were doing, and to have such an easy, enjoyable experience.So ready to go back.

No reason to look further... Five Dogs Fishing and Adam were one of the major highlights on our trip to Alaska. Adam took my 77 year old father, my 14 year old son and myself out for a half-day fishing trip. Adam was amazingly patient, helpful, knowledgable and kind. AND, to top it off, we caught a delicious salmon which we grilled for dinner!
