Super friendly staff, great free wifi and sit-down computers, and a beautiful building thats just nice to hang out in. this place has saved me more than once on my way through town when I've needed to get last minute business done ASAP!

Worked in Haines for 3.5 months, the Haines Borough Public Library made my time there much better! Visit when in Haines, and make sure to make a donation! Those Dedicated Volunteers need all the help they can get!

Lovely little town library. Actually, not so little. Cheap books for sale if you run out of reading material on your cruise. Free wifi, even for transients. Drop by and avoid the outrageous cruise ship Internet prices. Friendly, helpful staff too.The whole town has a very classy feel to it. Head and shoulders above most of the cruise towns that offer wall to wall jewelry stores.

Not only can you visit this award winner library during your stay in Haines but they offer the opportunity to buy used books cheap and that is great if you need to stock up on your supply while traveling in this part of the world. Architectually interesting, helpful staff and good seats to take a break.

The library is clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the mountains. The careful work and details on the outside of the building was gorgeous too. The librarians are very helpful and kind, I really appreciated how friendly they were to me.

Stopped in after walking all over the town. Sat in chairs and admired the view out the back window of the mountains. Very nice library

The 4th of July book sale & BBQ was great. The library itself is also very good and I would encourage its use even for visitors.

Best Small Llibrary in America award winner in 2005. This beautiful art filled facility provides locals and visitors with free internet along with all the services that you would expect to find in any large city library.

It was pouring when we arrived and too early to check into our lodging, so the Visitor Center directed us here. We were able to check e-mail, book our next couple of stops and check out the local eats. Beautiful, spacious building and a welcome place to wait out the rain.

This is a great little library (I think award winning for that reason, too). Lots of resources available to the public, and the perfect location in town. Definitely stop by.

It was a really nice place with free internet access both via 6 ethernet connected computers and wifi. I ended up having some important business stuff come up and booked their conference room (free) to talk to clients and use the internet. Lots of good magazines and of course books.

If you have a rainy day while in Haines, take the time to explore this wonderful library. It is a newer building with much to offer anyone. There is a great children's area for families to enjoy. The books, movies, and free internet is a great help to someone who is in the middle of a vacation. The ability to check in on your emails is so helpful.There are dedicated reading areas with tables and chairs, so you can spread out if you have work to do. It is open in the evenings as well as having hours on weekends.It is a beautiful area to enjoy a book, discover more about Haines on the internet, and get some work accomplished.Take the time to walk and enjoy!The Nicholson FamilyAlbany, OR

This friendly library is a good place to use wifi or read and relax.we come here each trip to spend time especially if it is cold r rainy.
