I have been here many, many times to see many, many shows, even though, I live 2.5 hrs. away and 10 minutes from a theatre of similar size. It's the best theatre in the area featuring the best variety and quality of performances. Occasionally, a broadway show or two that have been here are a touch high in price, I think. But some shows are too cheap for what you get. Either way, if you love the theatre, this is the best place within hundreds of miles every direction.
Just left 3 hours or so of wonderful entertainment. The wife and I attended the Broadway series of plays at the Walton center........ Camelot was just wonderful. I saw the original play in the early sixties and I liked this better. The actors were talented, settings, lighting, music....... everything was perfect. We are thinking about going to Tulsa to catch the fabulous play one more time. The lead actors brought life and passion to the stage. They are so very talented in song and words. The ensemble players added additional quality to this play. Modred did such a great job , I really wanted to watch Arthur "run him through".
The Walton Arts Center hosts some wonderful plays, programs and events for the NW Arkansas community. It is a small enough venue that most any seat is a good seat. My only advice is to avoid the outer ends of the first few rows..I find this angle of view a bit of a challenge. Close is not always the best consideration. The facility is modern, attractive, clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. It is located on Dickson Street which in itself is a fun street that offers some great restaurants and shops, close to UA campus. I attended the Nutcracker Ballet in 2013 and in 2014 the Cinderella Ball and Movie Day with my granddaughters.
The Walton Arts Center is a fantastic facility that provides great arts series for the NWA area. I have been to quite a few productions and have never been disappointed. The staff is patient, friendly, and really seems to enjoy their jobs. The location is perfect, with ample parking, restaurants, and bars all within a short walking distance.
Great performances. The shows they put on are good. Parking close. Very organized. Have been to multiple plays there.
The Walton Arts Center was a fabulous venue for Cameron Carpenter as he commenced his United States tour with his International Touring Organ. An absolutely incredible performance .
Reccomend the !0 X10 series to try something new , & find out how entertaining, exhilerrating art of all sorts can be for soul.
They volunteer ushers are to cute. Peter Lame always gives and amazing introduction. The choice of performances is fabulous, parking is easy. I can't go often enough.
the walton arts center is a wonderful venue to see a play, concert or show, not a bad seat in the house and tickets are usually very fairly price
Fabulous a great place to spend time in & out doors - we needed more than one day. opens at sunrise to sunset - super for the trails plenty to see for everyone -take your camera.
There is something here even for the non art lover... from good food to pretty views, and even something for the kiddos!
I am a local and we visit the WAC 3-4 times a year. Every seat has a good view, sound is always great, and they always have great shows with a good variety. They have booster seats for kids just look for them when you enter the auditorium. They always have drinks/snacks for sale.
The Walton Arts Center is a gem in Fayetteville. The only place in Northwest Arkansas where you will find Broadway productions and awesome acts for the whole family. A must, if you are visiting.
I am living and working abroad, and it was a wonderful treat to get home for the month of April and be able to go to the Walton Arts Center to see one of our favorite comics - Sinbad. He was hilariously funny and had the entire audience rolling! The WAC is a great venue, not too big, not too small, and they have a regular lineup of great attractions!
So glad we have such a place in NWA that brings in such diverse entertainment and culture. Fantastic plays, musicals, instrumentalists and singers. Fantastic lineup year after year
