Fishing, walking on the wooden pathway to discover the secrets hidden in the forest from ages past. Sunshine and waterfalls, an eerie emerald lake that makes the viewer feel immediate serenity. A must see.

Very nice place to eat. Large portions and the food is very good. Get there early as lines form pretty quickly. Service is great.

It was an interesting visit but we felt it was a bit limited in what it had to offer. The mill itself was not operating. The staff were very good and friendly and the goods on sale were very reasonably priced. The restaurant was on the top floor, which was a little awkward but the prices were fair and the food very good.

The mill itself was closed as it was too early in the season but the surrounding scenery was stunning. Great hiking trail.

These reviewers are talking about two different places! The one titled "Located in the Ozark National Park" (should be National Forest, there is no National Park here!) is referring to the empty rock shell of an old grist mill located just downstream from the spring that comes out of Blanchard Caverns. In a sense, it is open all the time as it has no roof and just part of the exterior walls left standing. The other Old Mill, is on Main Street on the west side of Mountain View. It is a restored old wooden grist mill that can still function, sometimes... However, it is not open at all anymore now. This according to the Chamber of Commerce.

Included in the ticket price of the cave tour, it is an old mill site with part of the structure still standing, great photo ops, close to the dam and springs are about 1/2 mile upstream. Well maintained walkways make easy access for everyone.

Is this place even open? Every time we go we try to go as this is the last thing in Mountain View we have not done and so far we can't catch anyone there.

I went to the Old Mill as a child with my dad to get corn ground into meal. It was old when I was a kid. I'm glad that this landmark in Mountain View has been preserved.

Been going to Mt View for quite a few years and never seen the Old Mill there open. The open sign is in view but no one is ever there. Asked about it one time and was told the person that owned it ran it a while as sort of a flea store they didn't know why they didn't open it anymore. If that is the sole reason for going then I'd call the Chamber of Comm' first and see what the situation is.
