It is so much fun to listen to the recordings at each stop along the tour around this beautiful guitar. Stories that I heard as a teenager (and didn't really believe) are true!
A fantastic trip down rock n roll memory lane. Elvis, Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Roy Orbison and many more all celebrated on the Walk. A definite tour stop in northeast Arkansas.
This park shaped like a guitar showcases the history of how Rock & Roll influenced this area. There are numerous displays of the music giants who strolled through this area. Plus lots of other things to do close to the park.
Interesting stop 100+ foot detailed replica guitar with audio files about several famous musicians, listening to all of the files took less than an hour. The musical history for that area is pretty amazing. It’s outdoors and free. Worth the stop if you’re in the area.
The Guitar Walk is over 100' long with the shape and minutely detailed looks of a rock 'n' roll guitar. Nine musicians who performed in the area during the rockabilly glory days are featured, with interesting history and an audio tour on each. Muhammad must have been looking at something other than the Guitar Walk, which is free of charge and doesn't even have windows.
what a joke, this whole town is trying too hard to be a tourist trap- bunch of grade school looking art on the window about the Beatles
We found it so interesting to know how many famous musicians had spent time here. Beatles, Johnny Cash, Conway Twittty and many more performed locally during their rise to fame.
The Guitar Walk is a 115 foot long concrete guitar, complete with frets, strings and unbelievable detail. Along the edges are plaques that are nothing short of mini museums, paying tribute to the early legends that gave birth to Rock n' Roll, at venues along Rock n' Roll Highway 67 that runs through the area. The free walk includes audio narration by none other than legendary Sun Studio recoding artist, Sonny Burgess. Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and others are honored on the Guitar Walk at Cavenaugh Park.
