This is a wonderful place. If you time it just right, there are many vendors selling fresh produce and many items to include clothing, jewelry, footwear, and a lot of great eateries. The Clinton museum and museum of Discovery is within walking distance. Great Hotels within walking distance
Stayed at the Marriott 3 days in March. Really enjoyed the walking in the river market. Walk toward the presidential center, go over the foot bridge and make a loop back makes a nice 2.5 mile walk. Their is something for everyone in the downtown area. Food, bars, museums, shopping.
From conception to a growing and evolving place for residents and visitors alike. There is wildlife music tucked away so please stop in. Nice food choices, green space all along the Arkansas River
If your staying in the downtown area or close to it this is were you will eat. There are some trendy shops, but the large emphasis is food and nightlife. It isn't Broadway in Nashville or Beale St Memphis, but its the best of Little Rock.
There are 2 distinct times of the year I like to visit the River Market area. First, the spring and summer bring in a good selection of fresh vegetables from local farmers. Although some are shipped in, many products are fresh and locally vine-ripened. Prices are good. Another area worth visiting is indoor food court. Here, one can get a taste of local dishes. The selection is quite good, and the food is great.
This little jewel in the heart of the city is pedestrian friendly, exotic, inspiring and exciting. With cuisines from all over the world, outdoor pavilions hosting special events, boutiques and bars, there's something special about feeling as if you're on vacation but you're still just a few miles from your home. I heart the RiverMarket
The River Market is filled with resturants, bars, entertainment, children's meusums, historic meusems, Clinton Library, Hotels, on the bank of the Arkansas River, walking trails, Heffer Center and lots of shopping. If you are visiting or passing through Little Rock, this is one of many places you really need to visit. The outdoor theater is also a drawing attaction to many concerts of outstanding artist. Just another outstanding area to visit in the Arkansas Capital.
If your hungry this is the place. Tons of food from all around the world. Prices are responsible and the atmosphere is fun.
Really not a whole lot there. Not many shops and mostly sort of a small food court combined with a convenience store. We had a mediocre coffee latte & expresso at one of them & a piece of candy (good) from another. The food at soul food stand looked good. It's a nice location on the river and in the warmer weather they have outdoor vendors which is nice but on this Nov visit it was dead.
We enjoyed the array of boutiques offering creations from local artisans. The street and market place were very festive. The area offers every type of eatery ! There is a wonderful nature walk , museum and riverfront views as well
Worth spending half a day exploring the river market area. Great eateries, bars and shops to explore.Close to the riverwalk so you can spend time at the market then walk over Junction bridge and visit the garden.Lovely way to spend a day in downtown Little Rock,Dont forget to visit the food market - great hot takeaway food to eat from all over the world.
We loved the walk at the River Market. The sunset was beautiful . There is an elevator that will take you up to the walkway across the Arkansas River or you can take the stairs. The sunset was awesome. There is a walkway along the river that is really nice. Worth the look.
A variety of selections, parking was easy and the area was clean. Didn't have much time there and it was hot so walking around wasn't an option. Would love to go back at another time and do some shopping!
We stopped by on a weekday afternoon. A small food court was about all that we saw. There wasn't much else to see or do. We walked along the river a little. It looked like there might have been more to do if we had come by later.
The district is within walking distance from the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown. Little stores targeting both locals and visitors. Many things to see, try, and buy.
