This was a beautiful place. They invite you to sit down and connect with your spiritual self. This would have been much easier had the cheesy recorded music and fake ferns not been so distracting. That really kind of ruined it for me.
If I could be anywhere with my family to enjoy a peaceful, serene moment, I'd choose this beautiful chapel! It's perfect!
I'm welling up just writing a review about this place. The wonderful van tour guide, Michelle McDonald, drove us straight to Thorncrown Chapel upon our arrival. The pianist asked if I would sing with her and together we harmonized a version of Amazing Grace that elevated me to another place. The inside of this church is amazing and the feeling one gets is like no other. I highly recommend visiting Thorncrown Chapel for any reason! Just magical!
There are not many instances when I am left speechless about an attraction. I've seen many in my lifetime but nothing compares to this place. I'm afraid if I even try to describe the beauty of this place I would not do it justice. If you find yourself in the vicinity of Eureka Springs Arkansas, do yourself a favor and spend an hour at the Thorncrown Chapel to reflect upon the emotions it will bring to you.
Perfect location for getting married. We had visited the chapel a cpl yrs ago and knew this was were we had to get hitched. Just be sure to book a yr in advance.
The glass chapel was very interesting and quiet, with soft music playing. You are given a page telling the history of the chapel when you enter, and are asked to sit down. They had no problems with us taking whatever pictures we wanted- inside and out. The staff member that welcomed us was very nice and accomodating.
A beautiful, peaceful house of worship. A true work of art. Quietly nestled in the forest on the side of a mountain. I sat in a pew, regaining some inner peace and calm when several deer caught my eye slowly going about their day just outside. If you have never been the there, you are truly missing out.
I love this isolated chapel in the woods. We attended church service here once. It was lightly raining that morning and the look and sound of the raindrops on the glass was so calming. Be sure to visit.
it is a beautiful creation of man, that's reflex's the life of nature of the surrounding area. a perfect place to sit and reflex.
We rode up to the Thorncrown Chapel and spent an hour there it was worth the trip once, very cool chapel. Great architecture and depending on the crowd a quiet place to meditate and reflect.
We come to Thorncrown on each Eureka visit. It is one of the highlights of our trip. It is so peaceful to go set in the quiet. It is truly an inspiration and an architectural wonder.
Always enjoy this side trip. Beautiful facility. Unable to enjoy to it's fulliest due to multiple weddings being held.
Our daughter's first marriage was at the Thorncrown Chapel. It was an intimate wedding with only 13 in attendance, but the ceremony was beautiful with the sun shining through the glass windows and the trees surrounding the chapel you couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting for a wedding. There is a separate building for the wedding party to get ready in. There is a fee for weddings, but the grooms parents paid for it so I'm not sure what it is. We met the minister right before the ceremony. He was very nice , and the ceremony probably lasted about 15 minutes. I don't believe there is a fee for just visiting the chapel. Date of visit not correct because it wouldn't go back that far. The date was July 3, 1993.
This is the most wonderful space and filled with the glory of God. You must see it when you are in Eureka Springs.
This is not to be missed. The setting, architecture, serenity. I find it to be such a calming place.
