No tables at this casino but lots of ways to gamble with full service bar and restaurant, very small but big enough to have a good time

We were staying in Ocean City and saw the signs for the casino, so we wanted to check it out.When I first went in I could not believe how small it was ( I'm more used to the size of Maryland Live & such), but I started checking out the machines, started playing & had a great time, I actually won about $80, so that even made it better.If you are near this place go check it out!

The casino had a lot of different slots than I have seen before. I didn't do to well until I finally found "My" machine. Then I made up for the previous losing streak. We went back the second time while in the city and did well again.

This past weekend I was at my family's beach house in Ocean City, Maryland when I had a terrible experience at the Casino at Ocean Downs in Berlin, MD and was kicked out for breastfeeding my child. The quoted paragraph is what was sent to the casino and a phone call was made asking for a formal apology and they did not apologize, instead they refused to speak to me. "This weekend we were in town at our family's beach house and everyone decided after eating to go to the casino so we all went. I have a 7 week old exclusively breastfed daughter... well we're were not allowed to take the baby in (even in the tula baby carrier) which I understood so my mother and sister offered to watch her for an hour until they came back after running errands. Might I add it was only 8 pm so it was not crazy busy. My mom and sister got back and texted me that she is hungry and cranky so I went outside to get her and take her to our car to feed her and go home when I realized my boyfriend had the car keys and it was freezing cold and raining. Instead of standing outside in the rain I chose to stand right inside the lobby, NOT in the casino or near any area where you had to show an ID or the gaming floor and they came out to where I was and kicked me out. I told him politely I was just waiting for my boyfriend who had the keys when he got smart and started fighting with me. The security officer also then proceeded to tell all other security that he had a situation and had everyone come to the front to back him up. So I will reiterate the fact I WAS NOT INSIDE and they still kicked me out, even though their sign clearly stated she just wasn't allowed on the gaming floor since she was under 21, which I was NOT. Also I will add they did not care that I was standing there until I started to breastfeed my child, which was discreet. So, I don't know about you but they will NEVER again get our money or us to step foot in that establishment. Also, this has been shared over many breastfeeding/mom groups and is going viral. Please change the signage on your doors if I am not allowed to be anywhere on your property! I will be contacting the media, I deserve a formal apology! Attached is Maryland state laws regarding breastfeeding, please inform all of your staff!"

The Casino at Ocean Downs is a lot of fun. It's not a large casino so does not have the buffets or some of the other attractions that the larger ones have; however, the café there has great gourmet sandwiches and pizza. We always have a lot of fun there.

Not what you expect from a casino so not sure why they use that name in their title. Horrible atmosphere and very beverly hill billy type of feel. Security thinks they are working for homeland security, they are such a joke as well. "Sir...SIR...put down that slice of pizza and step away from the cinderella slot machine!" Really? depressing is to say the least. Go to boardwalk midway and play for plastic spider rings...much more thrilling. Oh. and please find a separate place for your employees to smoke, we don't like to hear them complain about their jobs while we are visiting.

Place is a joke, out to get you more than any casino I have ever been in, ocean downs we are hard working people that like to have fun from time to time, give us a chance turn the heat down all I have to say

The grounds were attractive, there were machines galore, so didn't have to go far to find one that interested me. Did feel the drinks were pricey, one mixed drink of average size cost $6.50. The casinos back home are free if you're gambling.

This is a nice entry level casino for those who are new to the casino experience. It can be a fun adult outing for those on a beach vacation and looking for something different to do. The casino is clean. There have been problems with the AC but that seems to have been fixed. Slots are tight. With winning many free spins lucky to collect more than a few dollars. Comps are nonexistent unless you recently signed up but even then you can't collect until your next trip. You earn points playing slots that can be used purchase food and drinks in the "cafeteria". This is a nice place to spend a few hours, just don't be too disappointed if you don't win anything.

Rainy evening so looking for something to keep us occupied. The pull behind cart horse races was just the ticket. Friendly people behind the betting windows. We knew nothing about betting, but picked names we liked and had a great evening. Could not go into the casino since one of our kids was under age, but it was a very entertaining evening.

Its a nice casino and my husband and I enjoyed it. It would be nice to have a nice restaurant inside rather than just a cafiteria style. Entertainment would be nice also. In all the casino was nice and something extra to do at the beach.

This was my first casino experience. I was so excited to pull down the lever and win big money! To my disappointment, ALL of the games here are completely ELECTRONIC! They do have a few Electronic Black Jack tables and a roulet wheel. I don't see the fun in this.The staff was very friendly.

They have a hundred security guards.But no one serving drinks to the slots. Saw a few waitress but they were all by the bar talking to each other. So lets let the security guys serve drinks. This casino feels more like a jail. Just not a good time.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. Now my kids get to enjoy the harness races. The racing was awesome as usual. The people at the windows for betting were a little rude. My twenty year old son was carded numerous times (horse betting starts at 18). I guess that's a good thing? Anyway, did not go in the casino because we had teens under 21, and they were not allowed even to walk through. I miss the way the building was set up. Now, people who are coming just for the races have to walk around the side of the building with the smelly dumpsters. The races are great though. Just wish those coming for the horses were shown more respect.
