We had such fun, this is a great thing to do with out of town guest, or for us locals to get to see and taste many of Easton's wonderful restaurants! Kathy and Bill were our our tour guides, they did such a fabulous job, you knew that they loved both their town and their jobs.Easton is such a lovely small town with quite the colonial history that all you foodies and history buffs would love this tour!

on 10/18/14 we took the Eating through Easton tour.Kathy and Bill are Great!! Stopped at "Out of the Fire" owned by Amy HainesThis was our 1st of 5, Beautiful local Art along with fresh local ingredients and wonderful preparations! Also Amy is conscious of being organic and gluten free. We will be back for dinner! Next was the Peacock at The Inn at 202 Dover, The attention to details, a wonderful venue, amazing food!!! I'm reserving a table for our 27th Anniversary. It was that good. Next on the lighter side was "Julia's carry out" Great sandwiches and salads. A stroll through the Farmers Market and we found our way to the Washington Street Pub. had a sample of Dark coffee Stout paired with a scrapple grilled cheese sandwich, Yum! Great Pub and Bar Food. Last but not least was Scossa's also on Washington street. Authentic Northern Italian!! we samples apricot squash risotto with mussels paired with a light white wine, my taste bubs went "Yeah Baby". We will be back for dinner as well.

We throughly enjoyed our 3 hours with Bill and Kathy today. They promise at least 4 stops for a sip and bite, but we had 6, including their first time at Julia's. One stop was the market with multiple vendors to try so that was bonus. The highlights for us were the two samples at the Peacock in the Inn at 202 Dover, and the wonderful risotto at Scossa. A perfect weather day was another bonus. This is a fun experience, made even better if you happen to get a Travelzoo discount offer.

We live just 15 minutes outside of Easton. We have been living on the Eastern Shore for 17 years. We've visited four of the five restaurants on this particular Eating Easton Tour. Even though we have been to all but one, over the years, we certainly have gained a better perspective as well as a deeper appreciation for each restaurant. This was due to the fact that we were able to go on a behind the scene tour, so to speak. The four restaurants that we have been to that were included in the tour were The Bartlett Pear, The Inn at 202 Dover, Out of the Fire & The Washington St Pub. It's very difficult to say which is my favorite, out of those four choices, but if I was forced to pick just one it would be The Bartlett Pear. One of the main reasons for this is b/c of their dirt to table philosophy. I absolutely love that!!! I grow a lot of my own vegetables & I feel the exact same way (staying as close to nature as humanly possible is difficult especially here in the US, possible but certainly not easy). The only Restaurant that we had never had the pleasure of visiting prior to this event was Scocca (which baffles me b/c Scossa is incredible). All of the restaurants were spot on. On this particular morning, as we were walking to the Avalon to meet our Eating Easton tour guides, there was a New Orleans style Jazz Band playing in Thompson Park. Once we arrived at the Theater we got to watch/listen as the Jazz parade marched by us on their way to the Tidewater. That was really cool, it was if it was all planed out just for us. I wish we would have known that the Jazz Band was playing in the Park that morning b/c it would have been so great to hear the entire concert. The tour also included a stop at the Easton Market Square for a few samples. One of the highlights was Kathy & Bill, they were outstanding hosts. I asked Bill how long he & Kathy had been hosting the Eating Easton Tours. He said that they had only been at it for a few months. Wow! It felt like they had been doing this sort of thing for many years. We were seriously impressed. The tour was not only fun but it included a lot of history as well as a bit of learning. The best part of the tour was the food of course but meeting some of the owners & Chefs along the way was very special for me. I love to cook. It's a serious passion of mine. We invited my husband Aunt & Uncle to join us on the Tour. They were so grateful for the invite. The walking part of the tour is not to long, if I had to guess I would say we walked little under one mile. We had mostly Tapas type servings in regards to the food. I am a Pescetarian & they were able to handle this as well. Alcohol is offered at each restaurant but you can always opt out if need be. The tour is held rain or shine so watch the weather, wear comfortable shoes & enjoy. I would do the tour, again, in a heart beat. It's worth every penny!

You would think nothing new for us to learn as locals who have visited the restaurant scene for over 10 years - not so - the combination of history, wine and food was as entertaining as our hosts Bill and Kathy - look forward to recommending to our vacation rental guests at Eastern Shore Vacation Rentals.

My wife and I and two friends from Germany took the Eating St Michael's tour Thursday an had a marvelous time. Our guides Bill and Cathy were absolutely delightful. The 3 hour tour took us to 4 restaurants and a couple of shops in St Michael . It was money and time well spent. I highly recommend this tourMike Nestor

On a beautiful July day my wife and I joined Kathy and Bill for the walking, eating and drinking tour of Easton. Although we have lived in Easton over 10 years we enjoyed the history lesson and lively chatter from Kathy. Each restaurant owner/chef seemed truly happy to see us and tell us about their passion in the kitchen. Out of towners will truly be surprised by the quality and class of what the Easton restaurants have to offer. A delightful experience. Charlie L.

What an awesome trip. Our foursome, three of which had never been to Easton, MD, had a blast. So much food, great time spent with the chefs, awesome conversations with new people on the tour and of course, getting to spend time with the amazing Bill and Kathy. Unlike other tours that we have been on, the chefs associated with Eating Easton were really excited to share with us their story and their food. The portions and pours were huge and the whole experience really made us want to come back to Easton asap! Cannot wait to check out Eating St. Michaels very soon and come back for round two in Easton again.

It was a great way to spend a rainy Saturday - moseying around Easton, learning historical facts (and fiction) as well as sampling great food and great wines and mixed drinks at 6 locations. So interesting to hear from the chefs as they describe what they do and why they do it. It is fun to see the business from the chef's side and to appreciate his/her efforts to make dinner memorable for their customers. Highly recommend this tour - well worth the money and time.

I took the tour with friends on a beautiful Friday afternoon in August. Several of the restaurants on the tour are world class in many respects. The discussions that we had with restaurant owners/chefs were fascinating. Kathy Bernard's history "lessons" as we strolled through the charming town of Easton were engaging. I'd recommend the tour for out-of-town'ers, of course. But, Eastern Shore locals that enjoy food, history and culture will love the experience as well.

A fun, food adventure all around Easton. We stopped at 6 different places enjoying lovely drinks and tastes of each chef choices. All wonderful and flavorful.

August 2 my friends and I enjoyed a wonderful tastes and sips of hidden treasure of Easton! Great restaurants and a gem of a town!

Two girl friends and I wanted to get out of the city for the day and we came across Eating Easton. What a glorious find. Our guides, were awesome and very welcoming. The tour took us around the city and engaged us in history, beautiful scenery and wonderful, wonderful food. The tour took us by several of Easton’s gems which are not only restaurants but Inns as well. Not only would I say this is a must do but I will be returning to spend a little time in Easton and revisiting some of these gems. I can’t choose just one favorite so I am picking them all, Out of the Fire, Bartlett Pear Inn, Washington Street Pub, Scossa and the Inn at Dover, were all my favorites.
