The course is usually a good value but today, Father's Day, they charged $94 dollars. No range balls included, no GPS. The worst part was they decided of all days to spray the course for a fungus which meant that it was cart paths only. The whole day. Again on Father's Day?!?!?!? One of the busiest days of the year and they couldn't wait until Monday to spray? The course was so packed because of it and had we had to wait for at least two foursomes to tee off at every hole. Absolutely poor management decision. The result is that I won't play there again, especially since there are any number of courses that are less expensive, provide range balls, have GPS and are just as nice or nicer in the area.

Attended a retirement party recently and was disappointed in the underwhelming event service. Crab appetizers were good and the view from the panoramic window was lovely. However, buffet meal was 20 minutes late being served. They ran out of food before the last tables joined the line. They brought out some food refills but apparently had no extra redskin mashed potatoes. Someone improvised and mixed a mashed potato slop from a box. No one came around to refill our water glasses. They cleared the tables of plates and silver (nice try) but were surprised when I asked for a fork to eat the cake with. The dessert table had no forks, and no extra silver had been placed on the tables. We had to wait while they rounded up a basket of plastic forks. The sun glared onto the projector screen so the retiree's family had to get up and move their table to switch with the screen. I think experienced event folks should have seen that one coming and prevented it. Maybe it was an off night. The view was gorgeous and our retirement program was wonderful. I won't recommend anyone else hold a banquet there, though.

Got a great deal on this off LivingSocial for $33 per person for a round, cart and bucket of range balls. Course was in great condition - near pro level in terms of fairways and greens. Not super-long, but warning - the greens are about twice as fast than your average local club... 5-putts very possible!

First, do not lose hope before you get there. Not a lot of signage and this is in the country.Second, I am used to muni courses with relatively slow and flat greens - this is not the PB Dye experience. The greens are challenging.Third, the course was in good shape and the fairways are generous, but there are a lot of blind tee shots.Overall I was pleased - had great weather and a very fast pace of play.

Tucked away in rural MD, this course at sunset is one of the prettiest courses that I've played. However, don't let the scenery fool you...PB Dye is a challenge. Plenty of hills and hazards to go around and the greens are no cakewalk. Bring an extra sleeve of balls and have your camera phone ready.

We play this course once or twice a year and have been very happy in the past. This course offers a challenging round with beautiful views. On our most recent trip (8-25-12) I was not impressed with the condition of the course. The greens were in poor shape. For the price that you play I would have expected it to be in better condition. We also noticed that the staff at the bag drop was not very helpful. Hopefully they will make some improvements as we would like to continue to play there.

Very nice. Come with your "A" game or don't complain afterwards. Some holes you have to hit blind shots, one you have to hit the ball over revenes (scary for most), but overall nice with guys who could play and won't hold up the 4-some.

For this to be P.B. Dye's signature course, I thought it was a little run down.
