My tour group visited this unique Garden Center recently. Since our area's weather has been unusual this year, it has allowed for most crops to continue to bloom and grow, later than usual. These gardens are no exception. The surrounding grounds were bought by the family-owned and operated business in 1977. The original house was made of handmade bricks, made on the property. Their Children's Garden was highlighted on HGTV'S " A Garden's Diary". Every time the owner thinks of a new project, she creates a new garden featuring some special theme. To date, she has 20 themed gardens for visitors to explore. There are at least a dozen buildings on this terraced property, with activities of various types going on year round. The statuary, bird baths, perennials, annuals, herbs, trees, shrubs, planting containers, and gift shop items are for sale. There is magic everywhere visitors look. This unique experience is located off Rt. 40 near Gambrill St. Park. This place is, by far, the best gardens of any kind that I have seen in some while.
