chapel point state park

We love the waterway that Chapel Point State Park leads to. There is a beach launch for kayaks that is fairly decent. However, the road is riddled with potholes and trenches that can swallow a car. There is a portable john there that is more disgusting than anything I've ever seen, anywhere, and that includes third world countries such as Guatemala. What a shame that the Maryland State Park system does not maintain this lovely site.

If you are looking to get away to the coast and want ocean views on a sunny day, but don't feel like a long drive to major beaches like Point Look out or Breezy Point, this place is perfect.If you bring your own kayak, canoe, jetskis or boats, youll find a convenient place to launch from at Chapel Point.If you want a cool spot for a picnic with your significant other, this place works fine:) Porta Potty was disgusting, go in the woods instead lol.
