We were surprised to find ourselves with an absolutely beautiful day here in the middle of November, which meant a great day to do something outdoors. I had heard about this slide and decided today was the day to check it out.The slide is easy to get to, on Motters Station Rd/Hwy 76 a quarter-mile north of Rocky Ridge Rd/Hwy 77. The slide reminds you of a bowling alley raised on one end with some bumps in the middle. It is around 35ft high and around 100 ft long. It reminds you of the carnival slides, but made of wood and with a roof over top to keep out the weather. There are some pieces of carpet and burlap sacks at the bottom to slide down on, which definitely make you go faster. We went with our kids ranging in age from 2 years up to age 10 and everyone had a blast! the kids were laughing and screaming and just having a great time, and the adults were no different. The park is owned by a local church, but visitors are totally welcome. The gate on the road may be closed, but you can just park in the area by the gate and walk over to the slide. There are also some swings and an old-fashioned merry-go-round there at the park, along with a couple of picnic pavilions.I highly recommend this for kids of all ages and the young at heart.

I loved this little park in the middle of nowhere. (A big shout out to Roadside America for giving me a reason to get off the highway for this little piece of America.)It's a cool old wooden slide. Covered. There are some swings and picnic tables in the park too.

We love this place! It is operated by a church on a donation basis, so this fits very well into our family's budget. Our kids love this slide (we've been there multiple times), and even my wife and I can't help but going down a time or two when we are there.

This is one of our favorite places. We have loved coming here for years. Plain and simple fun. Bring a picnic.

We are new to the area and one of our neighbors told us about the giant slide. So one day I took the kids "exploring" and we found the giant slide. Even at ages 12 and 15 my kids had a fun time going down the slide! If your kids were younger, I could see packing a picnic lunch and going to the park having lunch and spending some time on the slide. Just be careful and look at the slide carefully before you let your kids go down. A year or so ago a child got severely injured by a piece of wood sticking out of the slide (sort of like a huge sliver).
