We visited as part of a Wine Tour, never would have discovered this place otherwise. The actual tasting takes place at an island cabin in the middle of the lake, it's delightful. The wines were interesting & the staff knew plenty. As it was a Monday the cafe was closed, which had fooled several people who had called in seeing the sign at the entrance. Seek this little oasis out, it's charming

A wine tasting on an Island, followed by one of the most amazing Quiches I've ever had the pleasure to sample. The wine staff are extremely knowledgable and happy to answer questions about any wine subject. The Restaurant is well staffed and with excellent views . . . . all within 15 minutes of the centre of Stellenbosch

Great tasting room on an island in a beautiful lake, surrounded by majestic peaks. The presenter was knowledgeable and had some interesting anecdotes to spice up the tasting. The wines were young but really classy. A next visit is already being planned.

This is a very, very special winery. Not only do they produce some of the finest wines especially Pinot Noirs in the Western Cape, but the location is superb with the tasting area in the middle of a lake Charming and knowledgable staff and beautiful surroundings. Tasting fee is cancelled if you buy wine too! Fantastic!

Stark-Conde was beautiful. The wines were fantastic as well. We ordered 42 bottles of wine to be shipped to the USA while we were there. Unfortunately only 30 bottle arrived. I have reached out to them to try and find out where the other 12 bottles are and how we can get them and we've gotten no response.Other than the fact that I feel short changed, and wasted a few thousand Rands on bottles of wine that I never received, I do think the wines are good.Too bad I can't give them all the stars I'd like to.
