This Reserve is well maintained. Has all the game. You have great game drives and the best part... Three days game viewing. You are not far from the coast for a trip relaxing beach holiday before heading home.

A great park to visit. Make sure you check out our favorite hotel by the Voi gate: Manyatta Camp (Voi Wildlife Lodge). Great place to stay! If in Voi, they have a very original market twice a week. People at Manyatta will know which day. Vooi is a small city, but still unspoiled by tourism. Also, make sure you get a good and experienced safari guide. That is sometimes the difference between seeing few or many animals.

if you love to see elephants in the wild then this is the place to come, my husband was here in 1970 and all he has talked about for over 40 years was tsavo and its elephants,we even named our house tsavo house. plenty of other animals here as well and some great scenery.

An amazing christmas in Tsavo organised by Julius of JT Safaris. Julius organised everything from our pick up in Mombasa, our stay at the Voyager hotel and our 3 day safari. A wonderful trip, safe, fascinating and my wife did not want to come home. Everyone should make this trip.

To the south-west of Tsavo East National Park, and on the opposite side of the Trans-Africa Highway, is the Tsavo West National Park. the park is one of the greatest wildlife spectacles that kenya has to offer, compared...even .. with the sfamous Masai Mara, the wildlife density at Lake Jipe ( south on the Tanzania border) is astounding. .... great herds of plains games, immense flocks of birdlife, massive pods of hippos and vast herds of elephants that can often be seen swimming between the reed islands that lie just offshore from the Kenyan shore.... Chyulu Gate campsite, ..in the north of the park, makes an ideal first stop;.. and from there, a single day’s driving will take you to the Kenya Wildlife Service bandas on Lake Jipe. ..

Spectacular scenery and wildlife. If you enjoy birdwatching - amazing numbers and variety. So many wonderful large herds of elephants. Road surface can sometimes be a bit rough. Would advise visit as different from other game areas in Kenya.

I found my visit there with a friend very exciting since it was my first time in Africa. The park rangers were helpful and they even called us to show us some animals drinking at the water hole after our dinner. And the safari driver was good, he obviously knew about animals and was talking all the time :) Too bad I can´t remember his name... For us at leas when we were there we did not feel like the locals were trying to drain us from money ( which I can´t say about some other places there).

I have been to Tsavo East five times now and have always had luck with locating plenty of elephants. No crowds and usually hardly see other crowds. Huge park. Unfortunately other game takes some looking for but they are there. This month there were huge herds of buffalo. If you follow the Galena River there are hippo and crocodile although not in the quantities of the Mara River or Mzima Springs in Tsavo West.

the Tsavo national park is bisected into east and west Tsavo right in the middle by the Mombasa road and lies beyond the the long highland known as Yatta plateau.this fascinating geographical feature is no strange to myths and mysteries/ its inaccessibility led to stories about what could be found there. myth 1its is said that the red elephants are attracted by the fruiting trees , they wait for the fruit to fall, ferment and get themselves drunk. i leave it to you to find out and charge your intrigueAthi and Galana rivers pass though this park Tsavo is known for its red elephants and is home to more than 60 bird species

A truly remote park in more senses than one. We felt the game to be scattered thinly but this may be just our impression. However at US$75 pppd we felt the cost extravagant. Together with the car and driver at KSh5000 ($60US) or fees came to $1560 for five days. That hurts. It is good to see some improvement to the infrastructure at Lugard falls area but a fee structure such as this does not encourage return visits.

So many big herds of elephant as well as huge variety of birds. I loved that you had to look for animals rather than cars surrounding animals!

Nothing to dislike, the wildlife was brilliant, The park is bigger than wales so you do a fair amount of driving & looking which we loved

It was a great safari, although there was not a lot of animals due to the rains but I enjoyed the experience so much

I think we were blessed to have gotten the guide we did. A veteran who has been covering the park for nearly 40 years. Knew everything and most importantly where the animals were. We saw elephants (must've been hundreds) a bunch of smaller wart-hog looking things, giraffes, lions and a couple of cheetahs up really close. We booked the jeep / 4WD option
