Stayed at X'tan Ha and this bar was located on the property. So glad it was! Met people from other resorts and even some locals who came to enjoy the beautiful sandy beach, water trampoline and atmosphere. The food from the restaurant is good and can be ordered and delivered to the bar, which we did a few times as we didn't want to sit inside. Karaoke was held one night and it was a hoot! Didn't need to sing well, just have fun, which we all did. Tony and Fabio were our main bartenders and they were awesome! Never pushed the drinks,were always willing to answer questions about Belizian life or anything else you could think of, and very solicitious and helpful when I wasn't feeling up to par. If you're looking for a place to relax, laugh and enjoy the beach, this is the place to be! We will definitely be going back!

Katana bar is a great place. Stayed at X'Tan Ha so was on the property. Met people from other resorts that came there and stayed all day. They had a great time too. Bartenders are friendly and so is the owner. Wife loved the banana coladas. Had karaoke going one night and was real fun. Don't need to sing good, just have a good time. You can order food from restaurant and eat right on the beach. Wonderful time.

We stayed at X'Tan Ha for a week in 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed the resort, restaurant and Katanga Beach Bar. Since then, we've returned to Katanga Beach Bar whenever we find ourselves up North, whether traveling by golf cart or boat. After another fantastic afternoon spent relaxing at Katanga last week, we were reminded what a treasure it is. There have been many improvements to the bar and surrounding beach area since our first visit. The new hammock chairs and barstools in the water are fun additions. One of the best things about this location - the beach. Unlike most beaches on the island, this area is largely free from sea grass. We've made trips up to Katanga just to enjoy with beach and a few drinks. During our most recent visit, our friends ordered cranberry lemonade cocktails that they absolutely LOVED! The owner and staff are very welcoming and continue to make improvements to an already lovely spot. We look forward to our next visit!

**This is a review solely for the beach bar. We did not stay at the hotel, only spent time at the bar**We stumbled upon X'tan Ha Resort on a bike ride down the beach. From the outside, everything looks fantastic-beautiful beach and well maintained landscape. The bar was a mini oasis from the heat of the day and we were excited to sit down in the hammock chairs and enjoy ourselves. Well, we very much wish we kept on biking and did not waste our money or time! We ordered 2 margaritas, meat lovers pizza, and nachos.-The margaritas were nothing more than sour mix in a giant glass-The pizza was $20US and was equivalent to a frozen Tony's Pizza. The meat part of the pizza was cut up hot dogs-The nachos were soggy and blandAll of this took roughly an hour to come out and cost us $60. It was by far the most expensive crappy snack we have ever had. The owners were sitting at the bar near us toward the end of our meal. They were nice enough, but never once asked us how our food was. All they asked us to do was recommend the bar to our friends and tell our hotel to recommend it to their guests. I do regret not saying anything to the owners, but by the time we realized who they were, we had already paid and were so agitated by our experience that we just left.If you find yourself in this neck of the woods, do yourself a favor and pass it by.

Just stayed at the X'tan Ha resort and visited daily the Katanga Beach bar. It is located right on the beach. Super nice location right off the dock. It was under construction all week while we visited. The staff was very friendly and entertaining.The drinks were all very average & pricey.Suggestion: Please serve very tropical looking drinks with lots of fresh tropical fruits.
