We did the combo tour with Isaac and it was a great day. Isaac was very attentive and made sure we had a great time. He even stopped on the side of the road and bought us all watermelon!
My sister and I did the Combo tour, which has a little bit of everything. The best, by far, was the white water rafting. Our guide for that was so much fun and the rapids were awesome. The horse-back riding we could have skipped (which you can do.) The views aren't anything special and the horses aren't all that friendly. The mud bath, hot tub, zip lining and the rest are also great. We ended with a very nice lunch of typical Costa Rican food. This is a good way to cram a lot of things into one day.
We took a day and did zip lining, kayaking, repelling, rock climbing, river swimming, Tarzan swinging, cliff jumping! Then we got painted up with volcanic mud which is full of minerals for your skin. We washed the mud off in the river and then relaxed in the natural spring pools! It was a great day. We had so much fun!! The scenery is beautiful. Aly was our guide and I cannot imagine having a better guide! She pampered us, always bringing us water, setting our clothes and shoes in the sun to dry, spoke very good English so had great conversation and learned many interesting facts about the area! On the return trip she even stopped at a coffee roast house and we learned a bit about coffee farming and roasting the beans! The coffee had just been roasted and ground that day so of course we bought some! It was a super day! Very recommended!
Girlfriend and I ended up being the only couple on the combo trip with Ciro as our guide. Great guy, very knowledgable and made our experience top notch. When we recommend Go Adventures to our friends Ciro is going to be the top of that recommendation.
I planned this trip with my Mother, my husband, my In-laws and my sister-in-law and it was PERFECT! We zip-lined, tubed, rode horses and lounged. Issac was our guide and he was great. Could not have had a better time.
We were staying in Playa Langosta near Tamarindo and booked a combo tour through our hotel. We got picked up right out front of our lobby and had fun tour guides - isaac and Ciro take us, along with 4 other people to El Rincon de la Vieja. It was an easy 1 hour and a half ride and they pointed out facts along the way. We started our adventure day riding horse back - which i actually do NOT recommend if you're not completely comfortable riding a horse. I was paired with one that was very temperamental and he tried to buck me off and run away the whole time. He kicked the other horses in line and made my 30 minute journey, one of the scariest experiences I've had. We got down to the river and waited for the next activity which was white water rafting. They were 2 person rafts and you're paired up with a guide. I told them I was nervous since I wasn't a great swimmer, and let me tell you, Carlos was AMAZING!! He made me feel so comfortable and I had the best time ever white water rafting! The scenery was amazing and we never flipped or got stuck (although other people in the group did). This was my favorite activity of the day and I highly recommend it! After rafting we sat in the sauna and did mud baths and hot springs and our guides had beer and wine on hand for us to relax before the next event. We had the hot springs to ourselves and had a great time. We finished the day zip lining above the trees and it was so cool to be adventurous and see everything from above. I opted out of the rock climbing and i'm glad i did since everyone in our group said it was very challenging and they were pulling up on the line and it made you feel like you were going to fall the entire time. We capped this all off with a lovely buffet lunch and headed back. As a surprise, our tour guides stopped at a coffee tour and we got a free tour and bought some amazing Costa Rican coffee to bring home. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting some adventure and great memories. Definitely bring a GoPro or water proof camera to capture all the fun!
Despite the rain our fabulous guide, Miguel, managed to find wildlife as we traversed the hanging bridges.
We did the day package where you go horseback riding, rafting, zip lining, reppelling, climbing and full body mud mask at rincon de la vieja. It was super fun! They were really attentive and did a great job of making sure we were comfortable and happy (and always had a beer when possible!). It was $170 for the day and completely worth it!
The go adventures combo tour was such an amazing tour! It was full of adventure, adrenaline and all around great time! The staff is amazing. They have fun with you and make the experience that much more exciting. Isaac was our tour guide, he will MAKE SURE that you are having a great time. My only complaint is that time flew by too fast!
I just returned from Costa Rica and this tour was certainly a highlight of my trip. Ciro was wonderful. He took great care of us. The guides were also great-fun, patient and experienced. The zip lining and water rafting was fantastic! I would definitely do another tour with Go Adventures!
Go Adventures is the way to go when you're in Costa Rica. Cristina set us up with a ATV tour and it was a trip I'll remember for the rest of my life. We really got to see the beautiful country of Costa Rica and our tour guide went above and beyond our expectations. The next day since we were so pleased with our ATV trip we booked a sailing trip through them. The sail trip was beautiful, once again great service, and delicious food. I would recommend Go Adventures to anyone going to Tamarindo!
I just did the Go Adventures Combo Tour and every bit was amazing. Guide Ciro was the best, and I learned so much from him about Costa Rica as a country, the culture and more on the way to and from the Lodge. On the Combo Tour I did multiple zip lines and white water rafting - things that I would never have dreamed I would do (I am 61 years old and not very athletic), Then there was the was horseback riding, rappelling, rock climbing, tarzan swing, a suspended bridge, sauna, volcano mud treatment and hot springs and a delicious buffet lunch. All of the activity guides were helpful and friendly. Three others are going on the same tour next week because I cannot stop talking about what I did. Highly recommend asking for Ciro if he is available. Has to be the best way to have fun in Costa Rica.
I booked a fishing trip for my husband, dad and uncle through Go Adventures and they had the best time. They caught a Mahi Mahi and a bunch of tuna. Everyone should try this company!
Amazing adventure tour with my husband and his family. The guides were friendly, exciting, and thrilling. Every aspect of the tour was fun and they made sure everyone was having fun. The tour was challenging but my 60 year old father-in-law got through each component of the adventure with no problems. The lunch was delicious and the beer cold. We finished the day with a sauna, mud bath, and hot springs. It was a really fun day, definitely worth the money spent.
Great adventure for those who enjoy being on the go. We were picked up at our hotel on December 30th, 2014 at around 7:15 a.m. and were driven off to our adventure which lasted an entire day. (arrived home by 7 p.m.) Our guide, who I highly recommend was Isaac and our driver was Wan Carlos. Won Carlos has great driving skills as he avoided a couple accidents that I am sure I would not have and he is very personable as well. It was funny to find out his wife worked in the gift shop at our hotel. After finding this out we had to introduce ourselves and say hi and let her know she had a wonderful husband who certainly knew how to drive. They both were very friendly and talkative. Isaac, you are so relaxed and forthcoming with information, you were meant to be in tourism. Thank you to both of you for a wonderful day!! Isaac, As you said to one young teen on our trip, SMILE!!!! Keep on smiling!!!We did zip lining, rappelling down a cliff, rock climbing back up, horseback riding, white water rafting, saunas, painted ourselves in a mud bath, and finally relaxed in the hot springs before returning back to our hotel. A buffet lunch was also included in the day and it was delicious. There were seven of us varying in age from 12 to 46. It was doable by all and enjoyed by all. It was the teens and my favourite excursion. So what are you waiting for, get out there, have fun, and relax at the end.Thank you for a wonderful day.Diane and family
