Never miss this place. Great location. You can see the tea factory but that is not the real attraction. The place is the king. Difficult to describe in words

This is heaven on earth. You can have in-flight experience while being on land. Amazing sunrise view. Must visit place, should not be missed, although you have to get up at 5 AM.

A must to visit and get the history of the tea plantations. Did not like the numbers of tourists who tended to spoil the film show. Go early on to avoid crowds and get persona touch.

Despite all the warnings regarding the bad roads, we set out for Kolukkumalai at mid morning. The ride sure is bumpy, and the road is non existent but once on top, the feeling is exhilarating.Avoid in case of back pain , otherwise one of the best things to do in Munnar

The ride up was fantastic, thrilling, and painful all in one! We pulled up to the bottom of the main road and a jeep driver approached us. He had the best music and was pumping the tunes all the way up to the tea estate. The ride up was more satisfying than the actual tea estate, but the estate was also stunning. Worth every penny and every minute!

It is difficult to reach there but worth all the efforts and time. There is an organic tea factory and tea garden on top of the hills. They will explain the tea making process but views from the hills are brilliant

Though the road up the hill is bad, but it really worth to go there! The view are very beautiful. Far more beautiful that tea garden in the lower place. Especially the peak of the hill, which separate Tamil Nadu and kerala . I will like to come back here , again and again.

I have trekked to this well known kolukkumalai with my college mates. its is an awesome experience. its about 16 km from suryanelly. Its known for the tea garden & the peak mountain. Which is the world highest organic tea garden & tea factory.

We see lots of picture perfect location photos but Kolukkumalai will give you the exact experience. Visiting the Organic tea factory is a good thing but going to kulukkumalai and views from there simply amazing

Must see in Munnar!! Highest organic tea garden in the world! Need to go in the early morning to see beautiful sun rise!

Super experience. The route is absolutely fabulous. We stopped in between & had a picnic lunch (there was small lawn between the Tea Estate with an amazing view). While the objective is to visit the Tea Factory & Plantation which is right on top, the best part of the journey is the hike/trail which has fantastic views of manicured tea gardens. However, they should invest in improving the roads. The Jeep journey is a back breaker & absolutely not recommended for someone with back problems. Also I found a lot of litter (chips packets, bottles, cans, etc) throughout the way. They should have a hefty fine/penalize people for littering.Pick up some snacks/water as there is absolutely nothing once you enter the estate (but remember not to litter).

A 12 kms ZIG ZAG trek track from Kurangani village to Kulukkumalai takes about 8 hrs for an average slow trekker. But the scenic view from every one hour trek is really breathtaking. Lunch break at Lonely Tree point is in the midway. Wow !! from there you experience the real zig-zag trekking by enjoying the mountain ranges beauty ! At the top you find the HIGHEST ORGANIC TEA FACTORY in the world !! Have a cup of tea there and visit the Tea-factory by paying a nominal entrance fee. Either you can stay in the Guest house/Tent houses there or you can go to Chinnakanal by hiring a Jeep. That adventurous jeep ride takes an hour to reach Chinnakanal, where you find lodging in every budget. Next day you decide to come back by trekking or by jeep to Kurangani.

this place is a long long drive from munnar to the border of kerala and tamil nadu.the drive is back breaking but the view and fresh air makes it all worth it.once you reach the top, you get to enter an old ancient tea estate and its a delight to see how organic tea is made there. the machines are dated to the british times.must visit from munnar - but be ready for the drive. not recommended for sick, un well, un fit, babies etc.

We visited here by Jeep. one the way we see breath taking views the road was not good but when we reach there it was awesome experience . We visited worlds highest tea factory from here

2 hours from munnar, atleast may be more. Bad bad road for the last half of the journey, you can travel by jeep only, but a fun adventure nonetheless, not for the faint hearted, The tea estate, highest in the world, is a nice place for photos, tour of the factory and some fresh tea.
