Almost a dream.... an isolated beach, with a great view and space for swimming. Also you have some grass to lay dawn an read if you want. It's not for snorkelling addict, but otherwise you are looking for a gorgeous beach with lots of space, don't think twice.
Hard to find without a local motorcyclist in Limon to guide you, this picture perfect beach is very quiet. Locals can provide drinks and food cooked on the beach but you pay more than in a restaurant. No faciiites available except for those who have a time share at the only accommodations in the area.
A must visit near Las Terrenas. Explendit view, the nature is in it maximum expression. About 25 minutes from Las Terrenas. Just beautiful!!!
Me and my partner went to El Limon in scooter. At the cross we were approached by Wendy one of the guide (?) which offered to accompany us to playa Moron for 100 pesos. We couldn't get rid of him and it turned out that was the best thing we did. We followed him on a bumpy road, up and downhill, we would have never found the place without him. After 15 mins we arrived in front of a massive locked gate where apparently some sort of construction was going on, it could have been a 5 star resort. A man opened the gate for us and let us park in a nearby place. Wendy took us to the beach which was beautiful and desert. Before leaving us there he told us to give something to the security guy when we decided to leave. After a while we where there a man came with two big alive lobsters and told us if we wanted them for lunch. We agreed on a price and set a time. After one hour he was back with the cooked lobsters, rice, salad and water. We ate on the garden next to the beach surrounded by horses and nature and nothing more. It was amazing, the food, the atmosphere, the view and the beach all for us two.
a little remote and you have to pay to park but it's really special. nice shade and also snorkeling from the beach.
Stellar option if you are staying around Las Terrenas, The road is better now b/c they are building a resort. The beach seems semi private but a few pesos convinced the gate man to let us park. The beach itself is spectacular and there are shade structures and nice grass to sit on. We'll be heading back this week for more!
The beach has perfect sand and it is a very quiet beach! There are nice waves to surf/body surf. We stayed for a few hours. Took nice pictures and had lots of fun
This may be a great, secluded beach at peak season, when every other beach is covered in tourists. However, there are much nicer beaches closer to town in the off-season and, unless you're on a tour with a guide, the drive in is a bit dicey. Plus, some random guy might try to fleece you for parking on the way out. It's really not worth the trip in the off-season.
Incredible beach and fantastic to swim from, somewhat ruined by local children torturing stray dogs.
the beach was beautiful and quiet, nice white sand and the scenery was awesome from there. The drive there from Las Terrenas was good too
This is by far the best beach we've ever been to. There was no tourists, the sand was magnificent and the water was such a beautiful colour...and there was waves! We went to this beach at least 3 times during our 1 week vacation. We rented a car, and asked a local guy to show us where it was for a bit of money. So glad we did!!
