Take a late October afternoon, a camera, binoculars and a canoe and you can discover one of Essex County's most remarkable little secrets - Cedar Creek and its adjoining Essex Regional Conservation Authority (ERCA) conservation areas. This is a place to enjoy peace and quiet and to learn of the local history (Village of Arner) and the joys of nature just e=before winter cloaks this slow moving river in ice. Local ElderCollege apparently offers guided canoeing courses for novice canoeists and lovers of wildlife. both in Spring and Autumn. Heaven can be just around the next river bend if you know where to look!
