We discovered this quaint village while out geocaching. A friend told us to visit the bank first which is where you can deposit a small fee as a pseudo entrance fee. Unfortunately it was closed when we were there ... But it was free! Note that there is free parking all around the site. There is an old schoolhouse, barn, outhouse and so on. Neat for the kids. Almost hidden in the eastern part of the village is a stone labyrinth garden. Very neat, the kids enjoyed walking through the maze. Our youngest stared at the working windmill for a good five minutes and then declared the village was wind turbines powered! I explained there was no power circa 1835. An opportunity to tell your family about e past. We spent thirty minutes on site, but if open I would say you could spend a good hour, maybe two here. There are two kid friendly restaurants just south of the attraction.

A pleasant attraction for the kids. The museum was small but had some interesting displays. Unfortunately they started vacuuming some display cases when we arrived so it was a bit of a noisy distraction and we left before we wanted to. The Pioneer Village was quaint with lots of things for the kids to touch and play with.
