Hawk Ridge is probably the best maintained 36 hole golf course in this region. A well stocked pro shop, excellent dining and close to downtown Orillia and beautiful Lake Couchiching make this course a great weekend destination.
Hawk Ridge offers great value for quality courses. We were expecting to pay around $50-60 each for our round on Timber Ridge. However, the girl at the pro shop convinced us to buy a discount book for slightly over $6. With the coupons found therein, we were able to all play for $100 total, which included carts. What a deal for our foursome! We have enough coupons left over for another round and will definitely come back.
Our 14th annual tournament was a great success because of the fantastic service by the staff at Hawk Ridge. Our two-day stay and play was $155 for two rounds with cart and one night at the Days Inn on Rama Road. The hotel was a great facility with a free breakfast and superb free wifi. Thanks to Debbie Wilks and Christina Van Sherk at Hawk Ridge for accommodating our group again this year. See you in 2015!
Hawk Ridge has 45 holes of golf. 2 - 18's and a 9 hole par 3 course. All are in excellent condition. The golf course maintenance staff have done an outstanding job this year and the condition of the course is about the best I've seen in years. The pro shop staff are always pleasant and professional. The players' assistants also do a great job in greeting you as you arrive and ensuring that you have everything you need. There are other golf courses around Orillia but none come close to comparing to Hawk Ridge. If you're in the area looking for golf, you've got to play here. The fairways are lush and the greens are fast. You won't be disappointed!
Bought the winter package this winter and wow what a deal. The course is in great shape as well. People in the pro shop were also very friendly as well as the starters and marshals. We are looking forward to returning again next year.
I bought an underpar.com deal for this course .80 $for 2 people for 36 holes with a cart .It was a fantastic deal...the course was immaculate and challenging the service was great the staff were friendly the starter was knowledgable and congenial .A course in this shape would be 75 $for one person for 18 holes in my neck of the woods .So all in all a fantastic golf day and well worth the drive to Orillia.
Hawk Ridge G&CC, located in Orillia offers both the Meadows and Timber Ridge tracts for your golfing enjoyment. Both courses are very well maintained and the greens are in excellent condition unlike other courses in the area who had damage due to this past harsh winter. There is a well stocked Pro Shop,a casual restaurant as well as a Dining Room. There is a full Driving Range as well.Hawk Ridge offers Stay and Play packages with local Hotels as well.Hawk Ridge is the choice for many of the larger Golf Tournaments each year and the staff does a very good job.It is definitely one of my favorite courses in the area.
The course itself is nice, well kept with a nice club house. But...The club house staff were more concerned about how their customers were inconveniencing them (a conversation going on while I was checking in!) and were, at best simply business-like in their interaction. We were walking 18, and had a later tee time. Sunset is about 7:30 at this time of year. We were on the 17th green, at 6:30pm, when a staff member (middle aged woman) drove up an declared "last hole boys." We were unclear what this meant but assumed, "Yep, one more to go." Not the case. After teeing off on 18, she drove up again and declared, "I told you to pick up your balls and head back to the club house. We want to go home." When challenged on this, in that I had never been asked to leave a golf course on such a premise she simply declared, "You must not be a golfer." She actually became angry that I was not willing to comply with "her instruction" as if I was a little boy, needing to be told when to go home. Can you imagine... you have to walk the 18th hole to get back to the club house, yet being told you cannot play it.Again, the course is nice, and is well kept. Perhaps overpriced by about $15-$20. The staff is self involved; no true sense of customer service. I was hoping to become a member, as I recently moved to the area, and it is close for me. I will be staying with my current golf course which is 15 minutes further away. They treat people well.
Pro shop was "curt". Starter was very friendly. Cart path only which we're not sure was necessary at all. Course was OK. Not as scenic as expected or advertised. Thought prices were way to high for course. Paid $49 and thought it was a $30 course at best.
36 holes of pristine golf. Beautiful fairways and well maintained greens. The price is right in comparison to Toronto courses.
We did a stay and play package with Hawk Ridge Golf...Amazing! Awesome service. The 2 courses are in incredible condition. Absolutely scenic. Can't wait to go again!!
