The waterfront trail runs through the conservation area so you will find many cyclists using the paved walkway/trail in addition to pedestrian traffic. What is surprising is that the large wooded and open spaces are not used more. Sections are rentable and are used frequently during the summer for work parties and family get-togethers. Parking is ample. A newly renovated outdoor pool looks under-used. Flush toilets are available. Keep on the lookout for the two or three random water taps that I use to fill up my water bottle on hot days. Some sections have particularly nice views of Lake Ontario. Most of all I enjoy the park when it is the quietest, in the off-season, when I am walking my dogs.

After paying per adult not car to get in (3 adults @ 6.5 each) just to park! Then 4.75 per person to get into pool, kids were yelled at for standing on side and jumping into pool and then holding on to rope for 2 secs, they got bored pretty fast, not worth the expensive experience. Took them to the rec centre the next day, they didn't want to leave! ($2.50 per kid)

With three young kids, we'e visited the Petticoat Creek Conservation Area mainly for the swimming. The pool has always said to be the largest outdoor pool in Ontario. It was recently closed for renovations, but is back open, reinvented with a giant pool with a beach like entry, three different wading pools and an interactive splash pad area for kids to play. The key is to either hike/bike into the park, or arrive earlyish. This place is popular and the lineup of cars waiting to enter can be surprising.

This is a great spot in the GTA for some time with nature on bike or on foot. There are some easy trails with a beautiful cliff side view of the lake. There is a small stretch of beach where you can dip your feet in the water. There's not enough room for a lakeside BBQ, but there are plenty of picnic tables throughout the park.

The pool has been recently renovated and the park is always clean. Go early on sunny, warm weekends as it gets busy quick. If you have the option choose to bike in and save parking fees. Great view of the lake...

I love Petticoat Creek. They have a pool that is just the right depth for families. A snack bar. The area is really large with a few of Lake Ontario. In the spring when you walk along the paths you can see Trilliums like you've probably never seen before. It's my favorite time to visit. I'm there often as I live quite handy. Great for cycling too.
