We enjoyed browsing through this place. Our last visit was 10 years ago. We both love looking at antiques. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer questions and open display cases when asked. Bought a few things and would like to return again,
I don't go to many antique shops but when a friend recently invited me and my wife to Southworks, I was intrigued. We used to live in Cambridge and had been there a couple of times, but we hadn't truly explored the store. This time we found a treasure trove of quality old-time stuff that sparked memories of our youths in the late 60s and early 70s. The variety of antiques impressed me most, and I enjoyed looking at all the old familiar toys. The layout of the store is organized and easy to navigate. I would recommend at least two hours to go through the shop. And if you want to check a few of the other outlet stores at Southworks, add at least another hour. It's a fun afternoon.
A lot of independents selling unusual products, as well as brand name stuff too. My fave was the gift store, BOE. Had so many cool items!! Their funky wallets... and Santa, I'd like the world map picture. (I've been good). Bought jeans at BUX for a steal. Not into antiques but they had lots of them if that interests you. Quite a few shoe stores but the closet is full so they'll have to wait for next visit! This building is a restored foundry. Very cool ambience. Had lunch at Jacks. I highly recommend the turkey panini- it even had cranberry inside! Really love finding new, interesting places to visit.
Loved the Nostalgia store with their old Coca cola signs, seats, kitchen ware; Old fashioned toasters, ice cream cone makers, coolers and the like made an interesting day. Samsonite, Corning, Tender tootsies was there plus other retail. Good for an afternoon outing, allocate 1 hour
This is one of my favorite antique stores.Lots of booths to look through and take your time.I never leave without a gem of some sort :)I probably go here 4 times a year!
Largest selection of antiques in the area, the British shop has a great tea and the Retro furniture is amZing
The antique mall itself will take you a few hours to go through - lots of great vintage & kitsch stuff. The attached shopping plaza has a cool 50's type store where you can order new (but $$) vintage styled fridges & stoves. Great toy shop, too. Tons of free parking!
Hundreds and I do mean hundreds of booths and 5 of them are to die for! Furniture, bedroom, musical instruments, suit cases, bar seltzers, lights, you name it ....it's goita be at this place. A movie set designer was buying as much as me..
I was pleasantly surprised during my visit to this outlet mall. It has a great variety of small stores built into an old factory complex circa 1800's. I was able to pick up some excellent Christmas presents here and would definitely return again.
After travelling around the neighbourhood, we stumbled upon this great spot. We had seen some antique cars cruising around and found that the meeting place was here. It is a very old, very historical building that has been transformed into a mega shopping experience. We found antique stores and consignment stores, shoe, linen and home decor stores, and even some food areas. It was very well done and there was so much to see! We just enjoyed roaming around and seeing the sights.....and did manage to find a couple of things to buy. We would love to stop here again!
If you are into antiques and flea markets you will love this destination, which also includes some outlet stores for linens, shoes, kitchen ware, as well as a florist, British Shoppe, clothing stores, and a toy store to name a few. It is a work in progress! There are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity, the new Dunfield Theatre, walking trails along the Grand River, and it is also close to 2 new condo/loft developments. It is withing walking distance of downtown Galt. It is great to see the old buildings being repurposed.
