Spent nearly a whole day taking my time along the trails on multiple visits in the past, and have never been disappointed. There is always a chance for photography, be it flora or fauna, and something interesting always happens. Recently I came across a flock (yes, more than 5) of wild turkeys. The trails are always well maintained, lots of chickadees and ducks for the young ones to come to know, and an all around great place for family outings.

I love the fact you can feed the birds, chipmunks and squirrels out of your hand. You can go canoeing in the water if you want or just walk along the long path.

The conservation area at Lynde Shores has a number of well-marked trails, some extending all the way to Lake Ontario. I was only here for an hour but saw so many chickadees, blue jays and waterfowl. Children were having a great time feeding chipmunks. Parking was only $2. I can't wait to come back in the spring.

This is a great place to take children especially those who live in an urban area . There are birds of all sorts ,beavers, deer, geese, wild turkeys ,chipmunks and more . In the spring bring birdseed and the chickadees will eat right from your hand .

I always love going here to see all the different animals. I've seen wild turkeys, swans, geese, chipmunks and much more. The land is beautiful and its a great place to go for a walk.

This is a great place to commune with nature. Bring your kids and walk the trails. Lots of opportunities to examine plants, frogs and fish and other great things that kids love.

If you want to "see wildlife" up close and personal then this is a convenient location in Whitby. Chickadees will feed from your hands and its teeming with Chipmunks and Squirrels too. The walk down to the lake shore is worth the effort too. Well worth the $2.00 for parking

I used to take my kids here when they were small and feed the chickadees and had forgotten how nice a place it was. My oldest daughter reminded us that we used to take them there so we went again - it had literally been 15 years or more. What a surprise. The shorter trails right off the parking lot still have an abundance of birds that take seeds right out of your hand - chickadees, Downy woodpeckers and even a nuthatch. I was surprised to also see 12 to 15 wild turkeys grabbind spilled seed from the feeders and along the walking trails, we spotted eight or ten deer and several cottontail rabbits. Further down the trail and closer to the lake, we saw different types of hawks, orioles and cedar waxwings - a species I haven't seen in years. Spring and fall are best times as the birds are migrating and use it as a stopover. Plus, the bush isn't quite so thick and there are no bugs.

My wife and I both have been to this park so many times, every time something new happens. Las time we were able to feed squirrels and to spot deers. For sure a good place to spend an afternoon.

We take her grandson to Lynn Shores regularly. He is almost 4 and since he has been able to walk he has enjoyed feeding the chipmunks. They have become so relaxed with people that when he lays on the ground and opens his hand with some sunflower seeds they walk right over it out of his hand. He is thrilled. If you are in the Whitby area it is a must see.

I decided to take a stroll through Lynde Shores conservation area one sunny afternoon. If you're looking for a low-key recreational activity, walking through the conservation area is for you.Parking costs between $2 - $5 and there are multiple trails to follow. The longest trail leads directly to Lake Ontario. The shortest trail takes you through a shaded bird feeding area. Bring the kids & lots of birdseed, and watch the chipmunks steal food right out of their hands. There is also a boardwalk trail that leads right into the marsh area and a couple of bridges right at the entrance to feed the geese, swans and ducks. There is also a picnic area by the boardwalk. You can spend as little as an afternoon or an entire day there.

Seriously, it's like a nature wonderland. When you go, just stop and listen... you'll hear so many animals! Birds, chipmunks... we had a duck family walk past us the last time we went! The chickadees will eat out of your hand and the chipmunks will come right up to you to take a peanut. You will feel like Snow White! :)

Took the kids to spend an afternoon. Couple dollars to park. Walked through the woods to feed chipmunks. The park is kept clean by the town. Walk the trails or the boardwalk and watch the swans.

Always love visiting the chickadees and it is at it's best in the spring. Area has been looking cleaner the past few visits.
